July 24, 201114 yr I have been playing fsx for years. Then I switch it on one day, it doesn't work. Saying FSX could not be read. So I deleted the .cfg file like I have had to do on 2 previous occasions which fixed the problem. But then it would'nt work, with the same error message.I then decided to uninstall. So I uninstalled and deleted all the necessary files (i.e. temp etc.) and tried to re-install. Now it won't let me re-install on my main machine giving me error 1305 saying 'verify file exists', no real solution on the internet helped so I decided to have a go on my brothers computer. FSX install perfectly. I activated it as soon as I could. But then the problems started. I installed my addons inc. Cap Sim 767,757 c130 but none of them have any CDU or any of the switches work. I check the .GAU files and they are all there its just they dont work. I have screenshots. As you can see they are grey and nothing is there. Help is very much supported.I HAVE RE-INSTALLED 5 TIMES SO THAT ISN'T AN ANSWER!!!!!!This is VC view the CDU and none of the switches work!!!This is with the apparent CDU up.
July 24, 201114 yr With the CS 757 I have a highly similar problem in FS2004. Everything works fine but the whole IRS panel is just black and therefore the plane is unusable. Haven´t found a solution to this problem yet. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

If you said no, the gauges will not show. You can go into your FSX.cfg and look in the Trusted section and delete everything in that section. Save the config then restart FSX. It will again give you the opportunity to trust a gauge when you select the aircraft. Also make sure FSUIPC.dll module was installed (look in the Module folder and dll.xml file).Best regards,Jim

July 24, 201114 yr IM94Possibly the reason that you are getting this error is that FSX has the worst uninstaller imagineable:"I then decided to uninstall. So I uninstalled and deleted all the necessary files (i.e. temp etc.) and tried to re-install. Now it won't let me re-install on my main machine giving me error 1305 saying 'verify file exists'"I've only found one program that totally removes all remnants of FSX and that is REVO Uninstaller -unfortunately too late for you (it has a trial version). But usually you cannot reinstall FSX until all previous remnants are removed from the registry - which you can do manually or via a clean OS install. wrt your gauges the trust issue seem the best otption and also just make sure you have the actual nvidia/ati drivers installed and not the default drivers windows likes to install.Good LuckPeterH

July 26, 201114 yr I'm now getting external problemsCaptain Sim 777 No ExternalDidn't get any security messages at all once installed!!HELP!!!!Its going from bad to worse!!Strange. I hope you're not playing games here. In your OP, you stated you were having issues with "Cap Sim 767,757 c130 but none of them have any CDU or any of the switches work." Now you are suddenly talking about the CS 777 with a cryptic post? Check out the Unofficial Captain Sim Forum here on AVSIM and see if you can find your answer there or make a ticket at CS and see if they can fix your "problem".

July 27, 201114 yr On your computer that you have already uninstalled it.First go into all user folders and program folders and make sure that anything related to FSX is deleted.Download CCleaner and run the registry cleaner.http://www.piriform.com/ccleanerReboot and run CCleaner again, keep doing this and rebooting until it does not show anything to clean.RebootDownload GlarySoft registry cleaner and clean the registry.http://www.glarysoft.com/products/utilities/registry-repairReboot and run GlarySoft RC again, keep doing this and rebooting until it does not show anything to clean.RebootNow if you still can not install FSX then I think your best course of action at this time is a clean OS install. On your brothers PC you can uninstall FSX and try the above to if you want.
