what's the deal, are there any restrictions that photo can only be changed once a day or something like that?I made a change and it worked. This was only a test image.When I tried to replace it - everything went OK except that my old photo still shows up.I finally removed it - this always works.But when I try to load again the photo I want - the old one would ultimately shows up - the one that was removed!! So what's going on??

Morn'n Michael, I believe you just need to refresh the page after swapping to your desired photo... It looks like the photo is cached until refreshed... Regards,Scott

That's correct your browser likely has your photo cached

... and that is exactly the remedy--I changed my picture and was having the same problem. This thread solved the issue. For those who use the keyboard (like me), to refresh your browser, type CONTROL-R on Windows machines and OPTION-R on Macs.

Actually on my one desktop PC I had to reboot like twice (over a period of couple days) to finally see it changed. It was really bizarre.

And my avatar's animation is now frozen (and therefore sort of meaningless). But if I include the photo here, animation is preserved! Cheers, - jahman.

The forum's software generates a thumbnail of profile pictures for ease of loading unfortunately they does remove any animations

They do now (but they didn't before the software upgrade a few days ago (the animation used to work fine, that's why I picked this avatar.) Cheers, - jahman.
