August 2, 201114 yr Hi, Ive just installed LINDA 1.03 I am using FSUIPC 4.714 the latest version. Linda reports ch yoke found ok but FSUIPC files not found I have copied all the LINDA files into the FSX modules folder where FSUIPC resides. Therefore LINDA is not controlling my yoke it is using the FSUIPC settings.Any advise would be appreciated. Phil Phil Broadhurst http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg
August 2, 201114 yr Hi Phil, In the MENU of LINDA click on the button Settings and then check on your left side FSX/FSUIPC configs ! Is it greeen with "Everything is ok! ? If NOT on your right side you'll find a line named Setup MCP Combo click on it and follow the instructions on the left side FSUIPC config Regards Marc Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO
August 2, 201114 yr Also once you have it working properly, you have to remove any settings you have made in FSUIPC related to your yoke button assignments, otherwise they will conflict with the ones you make in Linda. Cheers, Andy.
August 2, 201114 yr Author Hi Marc, I have done as you suggested on the left side FSUICP config box it asked me to edit 2 lines in the FSUIPC.ini which I did but still nothing happened it still saying FSUIPC needs setting up. Please advise. Phil Phil Broadhurst http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg
August 2, 201114 yr Phil, In the FSUIPC config box have you already tried the "automatic" button named as I remember "Make changes for you ? " Have you checked your Manual page 9/25 ? Another question : don't forget you must to have a Registered FSUIPC : version 4.708 or higher Marc Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO
August 2, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi Marc, I have done as you suggested on the left side FSUICP config box it asked me to edit 2 lines in the FSUIPC.ini which I did but still nothing happened it still saying FSUIPC needs setting up.Make a couple of sceenshots - settings "Summary" page and the "Setup MCP Combo" page. And show a list of files in your FSX/Modules folder. August 2, 201114 yr Hi Phil, As I said in my post #5 apply the button Make changes for you !!!!!!!!! Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO
August 2, 201114 yr Author Hi Marc, I thought you might say that!! I should have included it in the screenshot. When I press make changes it comes up with a warning something like "to many items in your configuration you have to do them yourself" not that exact wording but very near to it. As you can see I have added the line it asks for in the FSUIPC.ini file manually.Pleas Advise. Phil Phil Broadhurst http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg
August 2, 201114 yr Phil, Check carefully the page 9/25 of the Linda manual.Check your MCP Combo settings and particularly your COM Port : is it really the port COM 3 or not ? Read what is written concerning that ;)It's written : You have to select the COM Port where the MCP Combo is connected. Normally it is COM3. You can start your VRInsight SerialFP; it will allow you the COM Port Number Marc Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO
August 2, 201114 yr Author HI Marc, I am only using a CH yoke, I don'r have an MCP Combo, Will it not work with just a yoke? Phil Phil Broadhurst http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg
August 2, 201114 yr OK thanks for the precision. For your joystick could you click on "Settings" then the right line "Setup joysticks" (in the Summary) and put the screen you see ? Thx Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO
August 2, 201114 yr Phil, Another question. Which version of OS do you use ? W7, VISTA , XP or other ?In case of W7 or VISTA have you unchecked the UAC ? Marc Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO
August 2, 201114 yr Author Hi Marc. I apologise for not making that clear from the beginning. Attached is the screenshot requested. I use Windows 7 64bit, the uac is turned of as is windows update and system restore. I have all my programs installed into the root of C: and not programs 86 the system is optimised just for FSX. Any services not required are turned off too. If LINDA uses a specific none essential service that could be it.Phil Phil Broadhurst http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg
August 2, 201114 yr Commercial Member Phil, This is quite strange LINDA doesn't see your FSUIPC files... But if you don't have the MCP Combo, then you can leave this error unresolved - it should not affect the joysticks engine functionality. - Visit the "Setup MCP Combo" page one more time and disable MCP Combo at all.- Save config and try to run the FSX (LINDA should be running before that).- Load a flight with one of the default FSX aircrafts- Open the console window in LINDA and show me it's contents Artem Crum, EASA PPL•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••LINDA → Lua Integrated Non-complex Device Assigning•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
