Many of you must have heard and also probably using FACETRACKNOIR. I just learnt about it and it is fantastic, looks like I do not need to use my Freetrack anymore biggrin.png it is working smooth, currently testing the frame rates in FSX with this application.

It works real well you just need to setup the sensitivity which is a big pain as you need to open the profile in an editor and manual put in the thing, The following is what I have , you can change it to your liking. [Tracking]Smooth=1sensYaw=190sensPitch=158sensX=110sensY=177sensZ=242NeutralZone=3invertYaw=falseinvertPitch=falseinvertRoll=falseinvertX=falseinvertY=falseinvertZ=falseuseEWMA=trueredYaw=50redPitch=50redRoll=50redX=80redY=80redZ=80minSmooth=15powCurve=20maxSmooth=50 [GameProtocol]Selection=5 [TrackerSource]Selection=0 [FTIR]useTIRViews=true [KB_Shortcuts]Keycode_Center=88Shift_Center=trueCtrl_Center=falseAlt_Center=falseKeycode_StartStop=67Shift_StartStop=trueCtrl_StartStop=falseAlt_StartStop=falseSetZero=trueSetEngineStop=falseKeycode_Inhibit=0Shift_Inhibit=falseCtrl_Inhibit=falseAlt_Inhibit=falseInhibit_Pitch=trueInhibit_Yaw=trueInhibit_Roll=trueInhibit_X=trueInhibit_Y=trueInhibit_Z=true

This is really good news. Has anyone got FaceTrackNoIR to work with EZDok Camera from Flight1?

I have downloaded FaceTrackNoIR v1.30, after installation I copied the v1.50 update to the FaceTrackNoIR folder. On the website they say you have to load the Simconnect.ini file from the Settings folder inside the FaceTrackNoIR program folder.I only have 4 ini-file: default.ini, freefalcon.ini, flightgear.ini and ArmA.ini. Should it be there? In the game protocol I choose SimConnect FSX.I use a Logitech Quickcam E2500. After starting FSX nothing happens. The FaceTrackNoIR windows is all the time opened. Please some help!Werner Verwaal

You can use any WDM-compatible webcam , I had the same problem nothing happened at first, it needs to focus your face. The simconnect is on the right menu. I am using EzDok / FakeTrackIR on this and it is really nice , it does need some tweaking.

You can get the simconnect.ini file in the downloads section of their website at sourceforge; its under the 'settings' directory.

I have been playing in the distant past few days after my old TrackIR 4 died on me to figure out whether I needed a replacement or could live with something like this. Using the settings further up in this thread I find that the response, smoothness, and lack of jitter is adequate, but not great. Also, for some reason it does not work well with EZCA at all. The screen keeps flickering between the view controlled by face track and the default straightforward view (every couple of seconds it flickers). This is when connecting to FSX using the simconnect method.Yesterday I got it to work by faking trackir and I did not experience any of these problems. However, I did not manage to get this to work today. In conclusion, it works as a backup solution so that I will fly bit while waiting for my new trackir to arrive, but I am still eagerly awaiting the arrival ;)
