i reinstalled with my few addons. (mostly freeware, hopefully orbx soon) and i have no stutters. Also I am looking at upgrading hardware not just for FSX but for Battlefield 3 as it will be hardware intensive, well, I know that its hardware intensive but unfortunately they have an NDA on it. Thanks for the help everyone though.

Im using a GTX470 clocked above a GTX480. My i7-950 is running 4.15ghz. I am reinstalling right now after reinstalling windows. after i finish all that i hope that all the problems are gone.

yeah, i have 6gb. i have hyperthreading off as of like a day ago because i oc'd to about 4ghz.(will go higher when i see if the corsair h100 can fit in my case :( ) anyways. I just reinstalled Windows 7 and I am about to reinstall FSX. I dont have many addons so I plan to install and test FSX after each product is installed. If there are any more stutters after all of that, well, i may just need to go down to the flight school instead of simming lol. i will post back here if i have any more problems.

I am going to buy an H70 or H100 cooler within the next few days. That should be enough cooling to bring my OC from 4 to about 4.5. I am also going to buy 6 more GB of RAM as I find that on long flights the usage gets up when i have FSX, Media Player Classic, Vroute, FSInn, Chrome, Foxitreader open. And then, I am going to buy a GTX580. So if anyone is interested in my GTX470 Amp! Edition just message me

also running a 32'' sony bravia. i think its only 720p but i could be wrong. it looks fine and i dont even need to wear glasses. i have a 19'' samsung monitor as well. i use displayfusion for it and it works like a charm for bringing up charts and using vroute

ok, i did all that. and it will stay locked perfectly at 30. but it will drop every few seconds to 0.6 and then shoot straight back up to 30

Ok I am doing that right now. also, i just got an unhandled exception error about FSInn when I started FSX. It could be related to this, I need to make sure to backup my ICAO plane settings though because ive spent hours assigning liveries for vatsim.
