July 31, 201114 yr How much did you spend? i personally spend over 1000$ as i can see that money is worth for it! (for upcoming 777,dash8) too.

July 31, 201114 yr All ive done is fix a bad memory issue that I had, my old ram was at fault so I replaced it with some Kingston Hyperx and its never been better. I did get a Asus GTX560 Ti but that was for other games I play and had very little effect on FSX. July 31, 201114 yr I got a new CPU last week then took the other components out of a case from my collection. Unfortunately the Mobo is buzzing and will not retain OC settings ever since a lightning storm, consequent low power on this estate and then a week later the PSU blew. But this was about a year ago so I cannot attribute it to the NGX preparation. It will be here tomorrow hopefully, my screwdrivers and other tools are on the table ready. Its a FoxConn board and will replace the Gigabyte in my sig.
July 31, 201114 yr Not just because of NGX though a factor. Cheers,Todd ATP MEL Commercial SEL B-747, BE-300, BE-400, DHC8, ERJ 170/190, MU-300 C-17A Globemaster III
July 31, 201114 yr I have a more basic HP, but it runs the MD-11, so it should the 737NGX as the frame rates are reported to be about the same. Michael Pare Extreme Boeing 737NG fanatic
July 31, 201114 yr i built my PC early this year. I plan on buying the Corsair 600T and H100 soon. Then upgrade so I will be ready for socket R when it comes out.
July 31, 201114 yr I have spent over $2000 but if you take into account the amount I sold the replaced components for, it would be the over $1000 category. Mark Thornton
July 31, 201114 yr New mobo, processor and 16gb memory. I have a GTX470 1GB video card that runs like it's supposed to now. I don't know if it's the board, the processor or the memory making the diff, but ive got the ifly one (which i will be uninstalling prior to installing NGX) running with very high settings at 30 frames, even with fraps recording. So, I'm ready.... Joe Connolly
July 31, 201114 yr I built a new computer with an i5 2500k overclocked to 4.7 GHz and GTX 550 ti, and 8 GBs of GSkill Ram. I built it for flight sim in general since I start Naval Flight Training in two weeks so I wanted to have something good to practice on, but having the NGX released was definitely a great coincidence. Im also pretty excited I get to start flying for real while I'm learning the NGX (and Uncle Sams paying for it haha) -Matt Chase
July 31, 201114 yr Personally, I voted 0$ because my money is the euro :). No seriously, I think I have a PC configuration that is more than enough to support the 737NGX. As against, I'll spend it to procure softwares Tomcat and FsBuild.
