  1. Ahhh ok, understandable. Thank you for your quick response.
  2. Hi Kyle, FSX and DX10 fixer - guessing that has something to do with it.
  3. Thanks Roy, cracked it. Think i'll start saving the routes though as well just in case.
  4. Hi all, Does anyone know how to fix the problem of my conspic lights displaying as shown below with the 'box'? Many thanks.
  5. It's because I was disconnecting the GPU before turning on the second generator I think. I'll give it another try later.
  6. Hi all, I've recently started flying the J41 again and did the tutorial flight to get back into things which went smoothly. I have made my own flows based on the tutorial but after I have started the engines and turned the avionics switches back on, the FMC remains off. When I turn it on, the route I have entered AND the cruise altitude figure entered on the VNAV Data page have disappeared. I can't work out what i'm doing wrong to cause this to happen? I am loading the tutorial saved flight and then re positioning the aircraft so that it is in a cold and dark state - is that something to do with it maybe? Thanks
  7. Hi all, This is my last hope before I send my laptop off to Asus for them to look at the problem. Basically, I have horrendous crackling/popping sounds coming from my Asus G750JW laptop speakers/headphones. Since I bought the laptop last year, the crackling has existing from the speakers. 99% of the time however I have a headset or earphones plugged in and there was never any crackling sound. Yesterday I formatted the laptop in order to return to Windows 7 but the crackling problem has got worse - it is now unbearable from the speakers AND through a headset/earphones. I feel like I have tried everything to solve the problem. I have tried numerous audio drivers and read a lot about this issue being caused by DPC latency but I have not been able to isolate a device that is causing this latency - I have disabled display driver/network driver etc in device manager to see if it solves the problem but no. I know when the problem occurs...it is whenever the CPU is running at it's full 3.2GHz. For example, I can be watching a film with the processor running at 3.2GHz and the crackling is terrible but when I turn the inbuilt Asus power mode down to 'power saving' which reduces the CPU to around .77GHz idle, the crackling completely disappears. Obviously though, when FSX is being used, the CPU is always at 3.2GHz so I have this problem. I have emailed Asus about the issue and all they have suggested it to send the laptop in for them to have a look but if there is a solution I would like to avoid having to do this. Many thanks.
  8. Hi Steve, EZCA is still working when this happens. I have just loaded FSX again, gone to EGCC and several other airports and the views are all like the second image - not how I set them up. I then went to VRMM again where I originally set up the views and they're perfect.
  9. Hello, I am currently setting up my EZCA views for the PMDG 777 after successfully using it on the NGX. The first picture is my 'captains view' set up exactly as I want it. This was taken at VRMM as I was starting the PMDG tutorial. The second image is after I have simply changed airport to EGCC - I am using exactly the same EZCA views and zoom levels but as you can see, the views are totally different and it has zoomed right in. Any idea how to fix this? I have done all I can think of like run the EZCA config.exe
  10. Not as easy as that i'm afraid. You will need to purchase the extended download services from http://www.precisionmanuals.com/ProductCart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=10 And make sure you backup the downloads!
  11. Yes but there's nothing wrong with it, it's just the brightness turned up on the displays...It's just personal preference.
  12. Hi,just thought i'd share some pics of the NGX and REX at it's best!Look at the reflection in the PFD/ND!
  13. I said in my first post I couldn't work it out and it was staring right at me doh! Was concentrating too much on what was in the FMC! Back at a more appropriate -14c now. Must have been Cristi, OPT is now FL388 and MAX is 402.
  14. Indeed it is the weather. I don't think any FSInn setup changes take effect until FSX is rebooted so clear skies it is for now. Thank you all.
  15. Good point Jordan. I am using ASE but this is my first VATSIM flight for a while so it is the first time i'm using the NGX and FSINN together. Maybe FSInn weather (although I have disabled it) and ASE are conflicting.
  16. Frederic, both FD are on, A/T ARM is on. VNAV/LNAV and CMD A are all engaged. That's all there is to see on the MCP.
  17. I don't have any hardware plugged in at the moment. (saitek yoke takes up too much space).
  18. Hi guys, from the image you can see I an getting a buffet alert for obvious reasons. The problem is I just can't work out why i'm flying so slow at the minute! My gross weight is currently 65 tonnes and I've a fair bit of fuel onboard because its a 2400nm flight. Any suggestions?
  19. Hi, I also can't find how to load the .ecs file. On my File menu I have 'export current camera...', 'import all effects from camera...' and 'import camera to current list...'. Any advice? Thanks
  20. Paul, I did have it installed at one point but not when TrackIR wasn't working. Maybe it was still conflicting somehow.
  21. Dome light should do it, you can set it to bright or dim.
