Haha. Every thread pertaining to a new PC build starts with something along the lines of "With the upcoming NGX". (they're getting kinda old, you'd think they'd read the thousands of others)

I was tired of my PDMG 747 crashing due to low memory on my 2007 Dell quad core720 H2C. I went all out and had a small company build a high end computer just for FSX with eyes on the 737NGX. I took delivery of it 5 months ago and was very upset that the 737NGX was running so late - but I still had th PDMG 747 and LevelD 767 flying at > 100 fps. I don;'t thing anything out there eclisped my rig with the 990X CPU and 590 GTX cards w/12 GB ram.

I read that to go on a 64bit system solve problems about out of memory.
I'm missing the 'nothing' select box
Perhaps the $0 box should work... ;)

Learning to use and getting use to FSX!

With a quad core i5 at 2.67GHz and 1gb card, I think I might survive with the 737NGX, although if not, I will be upgrading, so far I've not upgraded yet. :)

he added it after I asked for it :(

I spent a little over $1000 but not just for the NGX. I'm still not done building my computer. I'm actually thinking about switching over to an Intel Processor

PC Specs(Rebuilt 1/11/19): i7-9700K - Non-OC'd, EVGA RTX 2080ti, G.Skillz 16GB Ram 3000mhz, EVGA SuperNOVA 1000w PSU, Cooler Master ML360R, ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 MoBo, 2x 2TB HDD, 1x 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, 1x 220GB WD SSD

I spent a lil over $2000 only because last year all I had was a laptop and needed a gaming computer, so I said why not get one now and you'll also be prepared for the NGX when it comes out, plus it was my Christmas gift to myself!! Other than that I just recently bought the new Corsair H80 water cooler and UT2 lol.

I've saved $967.98 from last year, I entered a geography competition and won some money as well, which I haven't received yet.I'm on my way.

I built a complete new rig below for $1700. Been using it for 3 months now with J41 and LVLD 767, Rex,Orbx and its great. Im getting 25-30Fps on average around heavy terrain and airports

Well my new system cost 2500K at the start of the year, however that was not JUST for the NGX, was so fsx could be run decent, however also use it as a general study machine.. LOL study..pfft.. he he he

Adjust the question to how much I WANT to spend... and I'd have a good answer. Posted on the other thread, I had to drop $1500 for a new engine in my car that I would have probably spent by now on building a system. So I haven't really spent anything. Flying on a laptop... not much in the way of upgrading to do...

As against, I'll spend it to procure softwares Tomcat and FsBuild.
Good programs both -- you won't regret it!

what do you get with lots of nasty clouds? I can run FS9 at close to 100 FPS sustained, max sliders... and a fraction of that when I get into thick "Detailed" clouds.
