Ok. Literally. STOP.Take your hand OFF of the mouse.Place both hands gently in your lap. (DO IT!) Ok - now breath in deeply through your nose......hold... ...hold......and exhale fully through your mouth.... --- Now that I have your attention, might I recommend everyone do the same thing whenever they feel the need to hit F5 on the PMDG website for the time being. First off, let me preface this by saying that PMDG's reputation for quality, complexity, and thoroughness with their addon airplanes is quite unparalleled. They are indeed in the top echelon of developers and would undoubtedly rank as a justified number one for many of you reading along. That being said...

  • What happens if your expectations are somehow not met?(They didn't model hypoxia from cabin pressure loss? Horror!)
  • What happens if, God forbid, your specific computer bluescreens each time you start FSX with the 737 installed?(No. No. Not my computer. No. No! NO! NO! OH FUUUUUUU!!!!!)
  • What happens if the download servers are so busy that someone gets it before you?(They have my credit card number, I want my software dammit! This should have been planned for!)

I am NOT suggesting that any of those scenarios WILL actually come to pass - as I said, PMDG's reputation for high quality work is renowned. I would just like to politely suggest that everyone place your hands in your laps, take a nice deep breath, and relax a touch. Our collective anxiousness is being shown in many of the short, curt, and downright unfortunate responses to some of the questions and threads here in the PMDG forums, and I am sure someone is anxious enough to be somehow offended by this post, too. :) The software will release. You will be able to use it. All in due time, friends. All in due time. -Greg

All in due time, friends. All in due time.
Exactly. Patience is a wonderful thing. It'll be worth it.

Think about this one, Im almost positive no matter where you are in the world we are all going to be accessing the same PMDG store page, Not sure how anyone would get it first or in any certain order geographically. Download speeds in certain parts are perhaps are a different story, but thats something beyond the customers control.

  • What happens if, God forbid, your specific computer bluescreens each time you start FSX with the 737 installed?I will rob a PC store.

LOL - love it!

Dude, I honestly tried to follow your instructions, with the hands of the mouse and on the lap. But then I completely failed. I had to scroll down. Damn it!

If I remember correctly, they said the release date was going to be sometime around the 4th. If it comes to pass that it has not released on that day, I would hope everyone follows the instructions at the top of this thread.

I understand where your coming from, but remember the purpose of these forums is to get us anxious for the release of the NGX so that, when the time draws nigh, will will be ready with our credit card in one hand and our mouse in the other. As the count-down dwindles away, the tension rises and the pressure builds until it feels that our heads are going to *POP*Nail Biting.gifOur response to the new forum guests, actually having the blatant ordastity to ask a question that has been previously asked, without first doing a thorough search of the complete forum archives, back to and before WWII, is to verbally belittle and lambaste them, making them feel like the lowly crawling thing that they are in our exhalted presents. Of course, on the other hand, these newbies have to realize that we are under pressure, and our patience for such nonsence is quite thin. Bob

I'm just going to take some liberty here and bump this up to the top for a bit... the United States markets are waking up and heading to work, undoubtedly jumping in to see what transpired overnight.

I think the only relevant time zone is the one for PMDG, when it's ready for download it will be live for all. If that means 05/08/11 GMT, or other time zones, then that's when it will be....I won't buy straight away, but, it's fun watching the hysteria. lol Chris Farrell
