FSX is jumpy

Featured Replies

Update. Tested NGX with ORBX YBBN and she fell over on this 32bit antiquated system of mine. Frames whent down to 5 fps and then BANG, a friendly little message appeared: "Your computer has run out of Available Memory. Please restart FSX and select different Graphics, Scenery or Traffic". Both ORBX and PMDG NGX are complex addons which require 64bit and at least 8GB memory, when you consider (so they claim) FSX alone requires 4GB without these high quality addon packages which really do improve the basic FSX to an acceptable level.

I have a similar problem to this, FSX doesn't perform the speed it used to. I am running a 64 bit OS with 6GB RAM and the i7 930 2.4Ghz. Performance is pretty bad with the NGX.

Na, I had 2-5FPS whenever I took off, now I get about 15-25FPS :) Tweak it here and there

Shamrck727 I think Marc is referring to tweaking (here and there) your display settings sliders in FSX plus FXS.cfg file .......go here check your config set-up http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.htmlAlso PMDG has Introduction tutorial included with NGX, it is located under PMDG in the FSX main directory look for PMDG 737 NGX then click on Flight Manuals....PMDG-737NGX- Introduction. My problem is system related, expecting too much from it. I have FSX set up correctly with display sliders pulled back and frames fixed at 30 with external limiter. Cheers

So basically what you're saying is that if I upgrade to WIndows 7 Home Premium 64 bit as well as get 4 gigs of ram that still might not help my problem?

Well, what I did was do that website tool, then deleted both my cfg then FSX created its own ones again then thats it :D I need an external limiter? where do I get one Delf?

Marc M.

Go Here Mark.....you will see download link for the External Limiter http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html
