  3. Go here to read up on the VRInsight CDU and then make your decision. http://www.737ng.co.uk/technical.htm
  4. OpenCockpit 438 (Euro) and Flight Deck Solutions 809 (Euro) I am sure both use a small LCD screen (VGA) whereby you unlock the NGX CDU panel in the sim and drag image to the screen. All activation LSK align with the image. I have the FDS version and cannot fault it. Both OpenCockpits and Flight Deck Solutions offer prompt delivery.
  5. Why not try here........http://www.vapap.com/kai-tak-airport............they have version for PMDG Also up to date sids n stars for Australia/New Zealand based on latest DAP. Cheers
  6. Thank guys, that did the trick..........too easy.
  7. Attempting to reset my TQ and require a couple of N1 readings from you guys. 1. N1 reading with the power levers all the way back on the idle stop both engine 1 and 2. 1. N1 at full power with the levers wide open to the stops again for engine 1 and 2 All with the aircraft sitting on the ground and brakes on. Cheers, Delf
  8. Hi Fredrik, Sorry for the late reply. Have you been to My Cockpit site www.mycockpit.org/? The guys there will guide you in the right direction with your cockpit build, they use Opencockpit. Simworld looks interesting, nice gear there, my overhead is Engravity. Contact Leo for info on leds or go here for product listing www.leobodnar.com/, or once again My Cockpit is the go. Cheers, Delf
  9. Both YPPH Perth and YSSY Sydney Kingsford Smith. You will note these have not been attempted by FTX, I should imagine the main reason being they would be or are too complex, maybe the resulting high frames could a problem. YPPH would require YPEA RAAF Pearce to compliment each other being so close and almost overlapping airspace wise. So there is the challenge YPPH and YSSY, both busy ports for Qantas and Virgin downunder.
  10. G'day Fredrik, All I use is Leo Bodnar's BX0836X boards [email protected] no soldering required, wire it in minutes to your overhead panel. BU0836X has USB connection to FSX/NGX, sim will see it as another Joystick. Next install LINDA, it has all the PMDG/NGX overhead switching macros ready for you to assign to your switches. Really simple. The price of the Bodnar board 49 GBP, email him at above addy or Google his site. You will find Linda freeware on AVSIM forums check for latest version with latest patch. Cheers, Delf
  11. Thanks Ryan and Terry.Terry, that Windows site gave me the fix, caused by addon aircraft, uninstalled and the problem has gone. Thanks for the help.Delf
  12. Just had this appear on the screen while in FSX, any ideas what the cause is and can it be fixed?Microsoft Visual C + + Runtime LibraryRuntime Error!Program D:\FSX\fsx.exeR6025Pure Virtual Function CalcThen Flight Sim closes down.Delf
  13. My apologies..........will not happen again.Derek
  14. O.K.The crash issue does not exist with other aircraft only NGX.Kept backup of the orig actions.lua file then emptied the contents of the active filw.......it is now EMPTY.Ran FSX with PMDG737NGX selected, opened FSUIPC with no crash, then went to Buttons and Switches page in FSUIPC which opened without trouble. Moved to the AXIS Assignment page with no problems. Finally clicked O.K. to exit FSUIPC with NO crash. So FSUIPC could be accessed without crash with that empty actions.lua filePete has the information about Lua memory usage and NGX module size, waiting to hear back from him.Regards,Derek
  15. Thanks Artem for the quick reponse.Did what you recommended and removed Run1=..Modules/linda.exe from the FSUIPC.ini folder. This has closed the auto starting with FSX. My overhead switches no longer function in PMDG737NGX these were all progammed in LINDA via BU0836X boards.FSX still crashes whenever I select FSUIPC in the PMDG model.Regards,Derek
  16. Artem,Recent error messages LINDA Console[E] JoyGetDevCaps for device 7 return error 165 [000000A5]Having an issue with accessing FSUIPC which Pete Dowson is looking into, the FSUIPC.log has information with reference to LINDA lua. Peter has suggested I contact the LINDA team for a looksee. You can follow the problem and his comments here under Steering Tiller.http://forum.simflig...teering-tiller/You will see the LINDA error messages in the FSUIPC.log within the post.Regards,Derek Froud
  17. Hi Michel,Thanks for reply and suggestions.I have checked the device works under Windows, all is o.k. plus all three boards are o.k in LINDA. All overhead panel controls are functional. LINDA functions perfectly in the PMDG737NGX. I just cannot access FSUIPC with PMDG aircraft selected. If I go to any other aircraft then FSUIPC access is normal. Will wait for a reply from LINDA team. Thanks again,Derek
  18. LINDA Console.......... Error Message:[E] JoyGetDevCaps for Device 7 return error 165 [00000A5]The list starts at 7 goes through to and including Device 15. Total of 9This also appears in FSUIPC4.log which Pete Dowson is working on as it appears LINDA could be causing problems with FSUIPC. Whenever I attempt to open FSUIPC the sim (FSX) crashes. If I unplug the three BU0836X boards which carry the PMDG737NGX overhead LINDA switches and buttons inputs then FSUIPC returns to normal.Pete Dowson suggested I inform you of the above error warning. Linda is performing normally.Delf
  19. Thanks guys will recheck TQ calibrations as you suggest.
  20. Require some guidance here guys. With the aircraft in cold dark state with park brake on and wheel chocks inplace, I have this constant warning sound, same sound you get if you apply engine power with park brake selected. Everthing is shut down, no power to the aircraft. What is the cause and how do you stop it apart from the flight sim pause ("P").
  21. Go To the panel.cfg and change 10.000 to 2,500 or whatever suits you some say 3.000 others say 1.500, I refer 2,500[VIEWS]VIEWS_FORWARD_DIR=2.500, 0.000, 0.000.
  22. Thanks guys for the assistance, much appreciated. It would seem I can access FSUIPC in NGX whenever I have a fresh install of the progy (fresh .ini file), I can action any Misc items and even allocate features such as engine reversers via Buttons and Switches but soon as I create any Profiles in FSUIPC the problem arises with CTD.I do have the latest version of FSUIPC installed.I remember the release notes that came out with NGX advised us all that the beta test team did have problems with FSUIPC when used for flight controls in NGX, the fix was to delete the FSUIPC.ini file and allow it to create a fresh copy. I am sure PMDG and Pete Dowson would have had some discussion on the subject and maybe found a solution?Regards,
  23. Hi Guys,Maybe this has been posted previously?Fresh install of FSX and the latest FSUIPC then fresh install of NGX. Started FSX with "Run as Administrator" and all fires up nicely, no problems with NGX.NOW THE PROBLEM:Go to open FSUIPC ..the horrid.....CTD.I have access to FSUIPC with any of the default aircraft but not NGX.Any assistance would be appreciated.
  24. Thanks guys but I have fixed the problem, simply overlooked the need to select Run as Administrator for FSX.exe then the validation is automatically recognised.Cheers
  25. I have installed FSX previously with a successful online validation. To open the sim being a simple click on the FSX.exe to fly. My OS is Windows 7 64bit and the sim has it's own HD (D:\FSX).I decided to do a fresh install of the sim so followed the recommended steps, removed any addons such as aircraft, scenery and weather. Then uninstalled FSX SP2 followed FSX itself via Control Panel. Deleted any FSX files located in AppData under Microsoft etc. So my system was clean ready for a fresh install of FSX.Went through the normal process to install with disc 1 and 2 then actioned the online validation loading it up to the point where the main interface screen appears, closed down sim. Next installed SP1 and SP2 running the sim after each service pack.To my knowledge there has only ever been the need to run the online validation once following the initial installation, the sim would always open with a simple click of the FSX.exe.The problem I have now is the need to enter the key for online validation each time I select (click) the FSX.exe to open the sim. Is this something new that MS has introduced or would it suggest my OS has a problem within the Installshield folder causing errors during the installation of FSX.Would a fresh install of Win7 resolve the problem?Any advice would be appreciated.Derek (Delf) Froud
