Outputs to FSUIPC

Featured Replies

Hi

I am wondering if that is possible to gets outputs data like display and other state of system in pmdg737ngx to ha fsuipc?

My goal are to build a overheadpanel with all the stuff and do not forget the mip diff. display and swtches, I have choosen opcencockpit an dtheirs IOC program and the software commucates to fsuipc!

If I fsuipc can read the outputs data and I am able to gave the aircraft input data throught fsuipc, its would be great!=

If I find the answer by myself I vill be back//

Best Fredrik

You can send commands to the overhead via fsuipc but you can not read from it. To read information from the overhead such as switch positions and displays you will gave to uses the SDK that pmdg has provided with sp1c.

Check the FSUIPC forums. You can read all the available data from the NGX SDK through FSUIPC. It's a set of predefined offsets.

I wrote a dll (ngxSDK2Lua) for that too, that uses Lua. It's posted in this forum somewhere.

I currently have all the outputs on my overhead working with the NGX thanks to Pete and his fsuipc 4.82 update. I am using FDS InterfaceIT SYS cards, doesnt get too much easier then that to get everything working. Just assign the offset to the led you want to light up, and just like magic it works!

Thank you very much for this information :)

Do you have another card fo the input or it just a singel FDS card like FDS-SYS1X High Capacity 128In/256Out Card!?

Hi

I like to build a cheap but good enough overhead with maybe a AFT of the common used things?

I have look at Opencockpit and I am wondering if the company is a trusted one to buy from and if theirs product is good for its price?

I thinking to choose the I/O board from FDS but is there any cheaper I/O card out there like the FDS board? :)

G'day Fredrik,

All I use is Leo Bodnar's BX0836X boards [email protected] no soldering required, wire it in minutes to your overhead panel. BU0836X has USB connection to FSX/NGX, sim will see it as another Joystick. Next install LINDA, it has all the PMDG/NGX overhead switching macros ready for you to assign to your switches. Really simple.

The price of the Bodnar board 49 GBP, email him at above addy or Google his site. You will find Linda freeware on AVSIM forums check for latest version with latest patch.

Cheers,

Delf

Hi

I am familiar with LINDA and I use it for VrInsight MCP PRO panel and LINDA is very simple to. It sounds great that yuo said about LINDA and the Leo Bodnar's BX0836X. Has the card any output for the leds of the overhead?

What to you think about Opencockpit?

Best Fredrik
