August 28, 201114 yr But does it change the vref for a higher attitude on approach? Yep, Vref will lower about 5 knots ... If you choose the short field package during a flight, the weights will change and you have reconfigure weight .., and the Vref will come down..
August 28, 201114 yr I'll try again tonight. But last time I tried, I saw no cange in Vref when i changed SFP // Lasse Kronborg
August 29, 201114 yr Well, how? You can't slow down even more with the same weight and same wings when flaps 40, which is still the max flaps I believe with SFP (I stand to be corrected) It's way lower than the Non-SFP acfts. ___________________________________________________ Rafael Henrique Carelli
August 29, 201114 yr I thought the SFP didn't do anything performance wise, just a visual enhancement (adds the tail-skid. At least that is what I remember from the manual. Are you serious? They've mentioned many times that they have accurately implamented the SFP. This means increased spoiler deflection on touchdown, engines decrease to idle in 2 or 3 seconds ( i dont remember) vs. 5 seconds, the additional tail skid, slats sealed through flaps 15. It's all there, and it's all been mentioned before. It's not just a visual thing, it actually affects performance. Mitch bowman Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major
