August 7, 201114 yr I am waiting of delivery of a new motherboard and then hoping to buy the NGX but before I do I need to know if it will run smoothly on my system. I have read varying tails on the forum but many of them without specs. My system will be; i7 860 processor 2.8ghz (never overclocked but might be with new motherboard)ASUS P7P55 Premium motherboard8gb Corsair XM3 memoryASUS GTX460 768 graphics cardCoolermaster HAF932 caseTrackIR5 FSX Sp2 with addon airports and WOAI traffic. The other 737ng is a bit choppy at the airports. Before I had to change my motherboard (a MSI P550GD65) I used to run 60% traffic and use Bojote config tool. If anybody has got an equivalent setup and could give me some data it would be great and I've been dreaming of flying this since I first found out about it. Thanks in advance.
August 7, 201114 yr 2.8ghz processor might be abit weak. Ive overclocked my i7 950 to 3.7ghz, and Im getting 15fps+ at Gatwick. Thinking I might overclock to 4.0ghz, but I might need to work on better cooling first. Andy Knight
August 7, 201114 yr humm i get a minimim of 20FPS at EGKK (UK2000 scenery) 40% UT2 Traffic, autogen in its lowest setting. Thats at 1980x1080. Really not bad at all and airbourn it shoots up to the mid 30s to 40s. Thats at 3.6ghz though. I pushed it to 3.8 but it was getting a little too hot for me going into the 80c with a stress test. Thats with a Andrew Simmons Intel i7 950+Corsair H70. 6 Gig ram Kingston Hyperx 1600Mhz ASUS GTX560 Ti (900mhz core/1800Shader/2100Memory) 1T Cavier Black HD + 1T Cavier Green for backup jobs. August 7, 201114 yr I wish you would put at least an i7-970 overclocked for now to 4.2 I am just there now and running a gtx580 you may be dissapointed unless you dont use a lot of addons like I do, good luck. Rich Sennett
August 7, 201114 yr I have pretty much the same ... no traffic and rex is only other addonhad to tweak it a little to get it working for me but its ok ...20-25fps at KSEA and 30+ (limited) in the air (1920x1080) but if you want to max out the settings you are out of luck ...and I think its nearly the same as the other 737ng from the other company you have ... a little bit better most of the times, somtimes a little bitworse P.L. August 8, 201114 yr Thanks for all the replies. Always though my system was fit enough for FSX but looks like the next rebuild will have to come sooner. I have two monitors one running 1680 x 1050 and one running 1920 x 1080 so I think I will have to run it on the lower resolution.
August 8, 201114 yr voodoo good lock with your build . not too long ago i had a build where i was using a GTX460 and gave me some good numbers when runing fsx later on i went with a gtx590 . i recomend both the 460 if u dont want to spend alot but if you can go gtx590....
