And after PMDG B777 ?

With regard to producing older aircraft, I think perhaps the MD-11 is not a good benchmark for determining whether an older aircraft for FS would sell. The MD-11 is not an especially popular aircraft, moreover it has a somewhat checkered reputation for safety, which probably doesn't help it to be loved, nor does it feature a common ethos, being halfway between Boeing and EADs philosophy of cockpit automation. All of these things doubless work against its appeal to a wide audience. If PMDG made an L-1011 or a classic DC-10 on the other hand (which is probably unlikely), I'd hazard a guess that it would do better, and they're both older than the MD-11. I don't have any stats with which to determine figures, but I'd put money on either the CS 727 or 707 having sold more than the PMDG MD-11, and I reckon their original 737 will do the same. Al

I agree, although the MD-11 is lightyears ahead of the DC-10 in safety. If PMDG made a 727, I'd be in love, if they made an L-1011 I'd be in Eden, if they did the 757/767 I'd die and go to heaven, and be seated in the right hand of the father, and the kingdom would have no end.
