Now that we've got the NGX the only things i really need are the 777, and any A320 which is at PMDG's level. Also it would be nice to see a 787 in the near future ;)

I myself as an European would like to see a well made Airbus but one airplane that I really miss in the fsx community is the 727. Such a beautiful airplane that had such a commercial success. I mean there are lots of them in the air... I think it is time that PMDG did something older not so complex. Complex = long time to make + large change of bugs. Even the super made MD-11 has bugs. Although any airplane will be fine, as long it has a 2D cockpit

Ships are cooler that you think.

I think PMDG won't do any further addon with 2D cockpit.... BUT, i hope the 777 will have one ... :-)

the 2D cockpit is very important for a good flight, since we don't have the same mobility the pilots have in a real airplane. VCs are good for taxi, take-off and landing, the 2D for departures, cruise and approach.

I don't like 2D panels at all, except the one for the FMC is handy, when you're not using hat-track!

It's not that we don't like older airplanes (RSR is thinking about restoring a DC-3 in real life!) it's that they just don't sell - even the MD-11 was hugely affected by the fact that a lot of simmers thought it was "old" and wouldn't buy it.
Ryan, Very strange.... I could even imagine that such a thing - wrt fs addon market - is happening To my perspective - and I believe to other simmers' too - there is no 'old' and 'new' airplane in flight simming in the sense of, an 727 is old, 737NG is new, B747-8i new, B747-200B old, A330 new, DC-3 old..... What it counts is fs-bound implemetation of the add-on aircraft; I'm sure that a PMDG 727 or B742 would give me the same enjoyment/ pleasure/ excitement as the PMDG 744 does right now... Of course, I cannot question PMGD market research... Sam Kalachoras

Waiting for the 64-bit PSION Flightsim for ZX-Spectrum ////

new or old might be a relative term. An older airplane might not sell as well with the 'established' fan base here used to EFIS and FMCs, However making an older airplane might simply attract the business from those who do like older craft. It would be like if A2A suddenly decided to do a Cirrus SR22. That is not somthing they normally make but with all their accusim bells and whistles it would no doubt be well done, tho not popular with their traditional fanbase but it would attract new customers intersted in such an airplane

I'd go next to Felix. In fact we, the simmers, that were waiting a long time for a PMDG like hi tech Airbus, specifically the A320 family. There's been at least two, as far as I recall, developers that have deeply disappointed the customers with their abandoned projects. The last one example is AirSimmer where their apparent lack of financial resources to keep their project ahead had let down our expectancies. On the other hand, I really think that PMDG already has all the hi-tech to produce the very first A320 family with all of its features perfectly replicated in an addon. The PMDG philosophy is to produce nothing less than a very hi quality products at both, internal-external appearance and the perfect flight model. I'm pretty sure that the FBW system and everything that this implies in an addon it would not make any trouble for PMDG, I'd say, Nobel priced developers team and their ability to make their own SDK outside FSX environment. I'm very confident that in the very near future, PMDG would unveil their new project, or may be it is already on their workshop!!! I know they have some other projects on the bench but, who knows, they can run a parallel projects on their own. Well, this is just my very personal oppinion and desire to see the A320 family under PMDG brand, they'd be making alot of profit from it. Warm regards Artur Washton.

Sorry for my ignorance but if PMDG dont develope a weathar radar for the know reason how can they develope a plane like the 787 that maybe wont be used by any airline for the next 2-3 years?
First flight this month for ANA in Japan!!!!

As some people already said, it will probably be a turboprop. After that, I strongly believe it will be a 787 or a new version of the 747. Boeing has reduced it's commercial production to 737, 787, 777 and 747, and I believe PMDG will have them all before risking different things, for they are sure sells. Anyway regional jets like CRJ or ERJ would be nice. Or maybe the E-jets 170 to 190. They are really cool planes.

For the 787 they would need a lot more detail than that's what around. I think they work with Boeing if I'm not mistaken? But I think adding the updated 748i/F cockpit would be great! About the 777 which I think will carry a lot of the current 747s gauges but modified to it's own 'look'. Let's just wait for the 777 which I can't freaking wait for! I love the 737NGX but me personally I only really fly Long Haul so not too much use to myself but very nice addon! I'm still in very much use of the PMDG 744 & the Captain Sim 767.

If you don't already have it, you should try out the MD11. It has an state of the art glass cockpit and is at least one generation ahead of the PMDG 747 X. In terms of system depths it comes close to the NGX, I think.

I agree with this. I've gotten so used to the VC that I forget about the 2D Panels. Sometimes I'll switch to 2D just to use the FMC.
