How many times can I install the NGX?

Featured Replies

I want to buy the NGX. My question is: if I upgrade my computer/change my windows installation/change my hard drive, can I install the NGX again without any problem? Thanks, Teo Halfen

My experience with other PMDG products (747, MD-11, JS4100) has been that there are no issues reinstalling after a computer upgrade. I would expect the NGX to be the same in this regard.

As long as you have the Installer, your e-mail (when purchased) and ordernummer storedaway in a safe place (extern HD, USB etc) it´s no problem.Just insert those, when running the installer on the new rig and you are good to go. / Leffe

My changing 6 computers in a number of years, maybe 3 HD formats a year on top was finally a step too far for the security in PMDG software. It was only at that point for me personally that it tripped and disallowed it. I then contacted them by email and in far less than 24 hours my install was unlocked after I told them the situation in all honesty. I was told it would only raise a fault if I swapped hardware again. Not long after I changed motherboards and CPU with no problem on reinstallation. About a week after that I swapped this old and faulty motherboard for a brand new one and again no problems at all were raised. I did write to PMDG to inform them off my own bat, without being asked. Consequently I see no problem for you at all and must state that PMDG are one of the most responsible outfits their is. Whilst at the same time, understandably, protecting their software. Go for it and worry not,
