August 15, 201114 yr The title says it all, I'm looking for a good visual system on my limited desk space. I would prefer 1920x1280 resolution, but first I'd like to hear from you about your experience with similar screens. What are the critical parameters to look at and, in general, can LED TVs compete with monitors in 28''-32'' range for MSFS flying? Thanks,Dirk.
August 16, 201114 yr I second this vote.. I'm in the same fix right now... thinking of a good led tv in the 32" range... to replace my 24" monitor. Ciao!
August 16, 201114 yr Moderator I second Jim's answer. I have a HannsG 28" and a Viewsonic 22 and it is perfect. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
August 16, 201114 yr I have been researching monitors for a while, here’s what I have come up with so far: If you’re: OK with a TN panel (and for gaming I think they have the lowest response times, typically 2Ms g-g), and also OK with 1080p resolution (and there are developments for the 1440 standard out there already but it depends on how large a monitor you want), and OK with a 27” monitor (about the largest size that works good with 1080p, and the smallest that you want in a 1440 resolution, so maybe the cross-over point between those 2 standards?), and want W-LED back-lighting, and want 120 Hz as a refresh rate: then there are several that might work.Acer HN274H, will work with nVidia 3D Vision format, has DVI-D, VGA, and 3 HDMI inputs. Samsung S27A950D, has DVI, HDMI and Display Port connections but will not work well with NV 3D Vision due to the Samsung proprietary 3D format. I’m not sure how that 3D works with FSX or would work with Flight (if applicable). But both have the 120 Hz that are better from what I hear even for 2D.I’m still looking, have been on many forums over the past 2 weeks and this is where I am headed as of now (one of the 2 above), but would love to hear from others here too.But it looks like you are wanting something bigger than 27", which might also push you into something better than 1080p.
