August 16, 201114 yr Xiropillo Please, go back to your post, this one is about a real pilot discussing important things missing from the 737NGX, and his input can make this simulation even better.+1 ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 16, 201114 yr Commercial Member Ryan, sorry if you understood my post as hard claim. My first post was giving you thanks for such an incredible aircraft that I purchased the same day of the release. I only want it too be as real as you are trying and with my post I only tried to help in doing it. I don't know many things about flying systems or programming but as a drawer I always check much in the details. Is something inevitable in me. I have seen this detail in the cockpit that I wish you to check and you will see that I'm right about it. Then you will decide if it is worth enough to repair or not. I will of course continue flying your great product, repaired or not, but it would be nice to have it fixed. Thanks for your time and patience. You can find the pictures here. It seems that the pedestal is more elevated in the FSX and that is why the framework disappear in the front panel. actually both cockpits are correct, depending on the age of the NG. Boeing made a number of small cockpit layout tweaks over the years... JR - Jane Whittaker
August 16, 201114 yr Commercial Member The NG we used on the photo survey was an older one - it is definitely possible that there are differences between a newer one and the one we used. Seriously guys, this is what we mean about nitpicking and marking up screenshots - please trust us that this was as accurate a modelling job as we could do. August 16, 201114 yr Commercial Member Vin took a look at our source photos and measurements and made some adjustments for SP1 today btw. It is not as extreme as what's shown in these photos in this thread though - there ARE differences in the cockpit based on when the plane was manufactured. August 17, 201114 yr Author .ini file sent to Ryan, he would soon add it to the GUF package. Just remember guys, this is the "standard" configuration of Gol's SFP aircrafts, but among such a huge fleet, including the SFPs themselves, there are many, many different display options/equipments you can imagine, specially regarding center pedestal knobs position. This is why sometimes we end-up unlocking cockpit doors, while trying to trim the rudder, or messing with xpdr digits when trying to lower the radar's tilt! Gotta look at it everytime!
