August 22, 201114 yr Thanks Eric. Sounds like either the sim is hanging (have you tried waiting a bit for it to come back?) or some other mod isn't working well with the NGX. Have you tried disabling ENBSeries before minimizing? (if you use it) Thanks for helping.I was hoping the computer was acting slow and waited for a long time. No luck.As far as I know I don't use ENB ( well at least I never installed anything. Or is it a standard feature?)I found out that using ctrl+alt+delete let it jump to the fullscreen mode. But after that the sim is unstable. I'm no computer specialist, but it looks like the sim (together with the NGX) don't empty the memorycache. So it is filling the memory. The sim also crashes if I change a lot with liveries and places. (GO to ....).I can change three, four times and than the sim gives an out of memory or just crash. (white screens, incomplete models of the plane, etc) But all in all the plane is a beauty and I love to fly it. Only have to make good preporations before start to fly, so you don't have to change to windowed mode Eric Eric van Dorp
August 31, 201114 yr Had this problem before and it came down to two things:ENB mod (removed)UIAutomation.dll (Changed to the 154kb version) Since dealing with these two issues no more black screens or CTDs on PMDG planes.I had this problem too, but I solved removing ENB Series. Now switching from windowed tonfull screen, which I prefer, is fast and smooth, and no had more ctd, especially with NGX PMDG.Hey Tabs, as Richard asked, in you ini file had only those two section above? Can you post here entirely ini? Thanks Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
September 1, 201114 yr How exactly can we look into a fix for something we didn't program? The ENBSeries mod intercepts FSX's graphics calls to DirectX and modifies them - there is absolutely no way we can have any type of control over what it's doing. We're not graphics driver programmers here. I don't know if many are aware of this, but ENB isn't even designed for FSX - the author made it for the Grand Theft Auto 3 series of games and someone adapted the ini to have it work partially in FS. I think these black screens and stuff with it have a lot to do with exactly which features are enabled in it - I run it with nothing but the bloom portion enabled: [EFFECT]EnableBloom=1EnableOcclusion=0EnableReflection=0EnableMotionBlur=0EnableWater=0EnableShadow=0DepthBias=0EnableDepthOfField=0 [bLOOM]BloomPowerDay=4BloomFadeTime=400BloomConstantDay=1BloomQuality=0BloomScreenLevelDay=75BloomCurveDay=0BloomPowerNight=18BloomConstantNight=2BloomCurveNight=0BloomScreenLevelNight=20BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=40BloomAdaptationMultiplier=50BloomAllowOversaturation=1BloomMaxLimit=100 Those are the only two sections that matter in my ini. Nothing else is enabled. I don't have these black screen problems at all. Hi Ryan I tried your specs in my ini file unfortunately without success. I can't switching anymore like before. September 1, 201114 yr I think you wasting your time, I had a really good go at this but no deal, sorry. Rich Sennett
September 1, 201114 yr So we cannot use ENB series? Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
September 1, 201114 yr Thats correct as far as I know, seems to be code issues between pmdg aircraft and ENB, I have not had this problem with my other aircraft, if I had to choose its pmdg all the way, wish someone wouls create a progam like ENB payware or not, take care. Rich Sennett
