August 17, 201114 yr What are pilots that fly the 737 on the diffrent Europeans flights use kg or lbs, or is lbs standard any way.....I fly livery from "Norvegian air shuttel" and "SAS"...
August 17, 201114 yr Since Europe is on the metric system, my guess would be kg.Yes, it's all KG in Europe ! Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 17, 201114 yr Author yes off course ;) but is it, thought maybee that its KG but since boing building them they deliver they with standard lbs/feet any how or do companyes in europe get ther planes deliverd with KG/Meter gages.....
August 17, 201114 yr Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not an expert, but I guess all european airlines use KG because it's the standard European unit of measurement for weight. All except UK, like USA, the unit for weight are Lbs. This is what I think Sebastiano Piscitello Air France VA, KLM 737 Captain
August 17, 201114 yr ok thx Fred thats goes for Meter in altidue as well....Altitude is always in feet !!! The JAA and FAA agreed on this many years ago. Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 17, 201114 yr Author aha thx mate for the information ;) No wounder the ATC is nervous every time they se me coming ;)
August 17, 201114 yr Altitude is always in feet !!! Except when it isn't. Russia (parts of which are in Europe) uses metric flight levels. In Asia so does China. August 17, 201114 yr Confirm that in Europe it is used KG instead of Lbs (just check a FCOM official manual of an european airline). Anyway, I prefer to use Lbs... Capt. August 17, 201114 yr KG and feet in Europe. Some former eastern-block countries (Poland, Czech republic, Russia etc) use meters. Very confusing if you've got to fly into such a country and have to read the charts! (If you don't have the standardized Jeppesen plates, that is) Dave P. Woycek
August 17, 201114 yr IIRC we use Feet in Czech rep, so does Poland. Only Russia use metres. Jakub Jochec - CZE Feel free to ban me, but gime me good reason
