Concerned about "hot-fixes"

Featured Replies

No thanks. I'll just keep trucking along with my release date version -- locked at 30 fps, smooth as butter, no issues whatsoever. Trevor

They cant just stop releasing the hotfixes, especially when there are customers out there unable to activate.
That is SUCH an EASY fix it's not even funny. STOP PUTTING SUCH CONVOLUTED PROTECTION ON THESE THINGS! Guard it with a password. Who cares if it's being used by people that didn't pay for it REALLY! If it's worth it they'll support it and 99 out of 100 using it without paying for it wouldn't have bought it anyway! This issue is OLD AS THE HILLS and yet here we are in 2011 and the record industry aggressively suing and companies still wasting money on supporting 3rd party protection companies. It is POINTLESS AND FUTILE and nothing but problems for legitimate purchasers and here we are 2 weeks later with another example.

Very interesting comment. Never looked at it that way before

I have problem with sound after turning off engines and APU, so I decided to install the latest hotfix, but after installation hotfix, i got some new problems: wingflex, problem with lights and fsx often crashed with NGX.... PMDG, your hotfixes are epic fails....

Okay want to take over PMDG and see if you can run it better? Didn't think so

Robert and Ryan, I am a bit concerned about the number of problems being raised in relation to the recent hot-fixes that have been released. It seems to me that these hot-fixes aren't undergoing a decent level of scrutiny/testing before being released. Not to try to tell you how to do your job, but could we see a freeze on hot-fixes until a well-tested service pack or update is released? Personally, I have not and will not be installing any hot-fixes as my NGX has been working fine right from the moment I installed it. I am going to wait for a service pack or update that has been thoroughly tested.
I didn´t have a problem and with Hotfix3 I still don´t. Thank you PMDG for your continuing effort to make this product flawless! Menno
