August 18, 201114 yr Commercial Member It has happened 3 times , with and without the hotfix. LNAV + VNAV engaged Reaching T/D the aircraft starts to descend BUT the speed increaseas. Why? Because sudenly the throttle is in manual..if i move them, N1 responds. BUT: A/T is engaged (Green light). I tried diengaging A/P and engaging again, LNA VNAV the same...Nothing worked.. Anyone else experienced this? __________________________________________________________________________________________ My FS Photos - My MSFS Settings - i7-14700K / 64GB RAM / MSI 4070 Ti SUPER / 1440p
August 18, 201114 yr Could we have a screenshot of the descend page of the FMC? August 18, 201114 yr Strange. What is your hardware throttle's position during this issue? More importantly what is your hardware throttle override setting in the CDU menu? ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 18, 201114 yr That is completely normal. In VNAV mode, during descend, AT engage ARM mode, so you can apply thrust if you want. Same as on takeoff roll, when AT force THR HLD mode. Few days ago, I decide to wash dishes during flight. I reset MCP altitude but left throttle levers to 100%. When I came back to check whats going on, I saw I'm 11000ft above descend path :D Lj. August 18, 201114 yr But it shouldn't accelerate. It should decrease thrust, not increase. August 18, 201114 yr PMDG SETUP > AIRCRAFT > EQUIPMENT > AUTOFLIGHT (page 2) > NEVER (default) or IN HOLD/ARM MODE ONLY (real world behavior)If you dont want your throttle override settings ever select NEVER ... otherwise you should move your hardware throttle to the right position But it shouldn't accelerate. It should decrease thrust, not increase.but if his hardware throttle is not all the way back it will increase ... Edit:the throttle will move to idle when reaching T/D point which is normal and A/T is in arm mode, but if you move your throttle away from idle it will increase speed ... thats why you have to sync your hardware throttle position with the position of the software throttle or disable this function with NEVER P.L. August 18, 201114 yr So long as he doesn't move his throttles, Autothrottle will remain connected Di Agron Dell XPS 15 L502X | Intel i5-2540m @ 2.60GHz | 4GB DDR3 1333MHz (2x2GB) | nVidia GT525M | Seagate 500GB 7200RPM | 15" 1366x768 | 23" LG 1360x768 | Got a hardware question? As far as the throttle: Show thrust lever position: YESA/T Manual override: IN HOLD/ARM MODE ONLY (should i put it to never?) p.s.: Yeap guys, i did move the throttles thats why! Thanks! __________________________________________________________________________________________ My FS Photos - My MSFS Settings - i7-14700K / 64GB RAM / MSI 4070 Ti SUPER / 1440p
August 18, 201114 yr if he has jittering in his hardware throttle the game will recognise it as moving (bad quality hardware or old potis in the hardware) P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
August 18, 201114 yr Try setting it to never. It might work. IN HOLD/ARM MODE ONLY helps me reject takeoffs when I need to, but keeps me from screwing things up otherwise. Very nice screen. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
