August 27, 201114 yr HI Ok this is the latest update on this saga. I have this afternoon uninstalled the NGX again and reinstalled butthis time I havent putthe hotfix on from 16 August. I have just conducted a flight and this time no crashes but also I could see traffic in EFB. This is an incredible development and it felt very much like the first couple of lfights I did before the 16 august update. I think I won't touch it now until a service pack comes out. August 27, 201114 yr Many of us already did without success. Yup, same here. Atfer seeing an increase in CTD's after installing HF3 I uninstalled the NGX and re-installed using the updated full version download that includes HF3. At first I thought that had solved it, but now it seems to be pure luck is I actually manage to complete a flight without a CTD. It's a great shame because despite being a GA flier at heart I have been enjoying the experience of setting up the FMC and flying a tube, but with all too frequent crashes it's becoming a little tiring. Seeing the aircraft correctly lined up from my flight plan on finals and then performing a satisfying landing is a good buzz, but for a CTD to occur just 20-30 miles from your destination just ruins the whole point of the flight. :( Paul Lathwell

The hotfix came out of the 16th and from what I can figure out is if you purchase the NGX now it has the HF3 included, which it would seem still causes problems for some. Wycliffe

Wycliffe Ok, anyway is good you can run it now. For your info though, there are more thing includedin the hotfix than trying to avoid freezing. Just read Ryans post about it.
