January 9, 200422 yr I thought I read somewhere a while back that a highly detailed King Air with panel and systems was in the works...does anyone remember who might be working this? Thanks,Tom
January 9, 200422 yr Tom,No, I haven't heard anything about a 'new' King Air, however, being it is one KA aircraft in real life, it sure would be nice is someone did a really good example of a 350 . . .To be honest, you can't even find any good repaints for 2004 . . .perhaps we'll get lucky.Best,Clay
January 9, 200422 yr Tom,You may be thinking of the South African project at www.aeroworx.com that's been going on for quite a long time. Their main site seems to be down right now, though.John

January 9, 200422 yr The FS9 King Air is not only the wrong shape, but it doesnt fly right. It also has a very ugly native paint scheme. I was disappointed in it in FS2002 as well. Too bad they didnt do a B200version and do it right. This airplane was the biggest disappointment of FS9.Eric AND
January 9, 200422 yr This file is for Mike Hill's Kingair B200c-repaints are available-I like this plane-what do you think?? rfds_mvl.zip--for 2004 and 2002
January 9, 200422 yr I'd like to find out more aout the "aeroworx" version, but alas the site is down.I like Mike Hills B200. I think it flys and looks alot nicer than the default 350. Sure would love a King Air the likes of the PMDG 737 or PIC 767 or Olys Dash 8 or....... :)
January 9, 200422 yr HiThat site has been down for almost a month now....butcan't say it enough. Use Lizardo's (the master tweaker from BFU's and the Cessna 195's fame) revised airfiles for the King Air (and Caravan) you have a very nice flying King Air. You may find it here:http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Lizardo/ Look under the file section.Additional to that you wanna enhance the sound with the Turboprop Sound Enhancement Package by Leon Medado: http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?DLID=40735Also I use the Baron/King Air Paintwork Fixes by Tony Gould: http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?DLID=34734The manual/Checklist Beech King Air 350 by Werner Schott:http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?DLID=37142Amd I have the (payware) Jetline 2 package from Reality XP: http://www.reality-xp.com/products/JL2/index.htmWith this you have a great and fast aircraft to fly Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries "To go up, pull the stick back. January 9, 200422 yr No King Air 350, but a Beech King 1900 D is in the air by PMDG.Turboprops are anyway very bad planes in MSFS since ever. FS9 brougt some improvement but not used yet by the major designers.Except the Dash8 By Frolov which is an amazing plane, there is nothing out there that can be compared to a turboprop.I bought the Cheyenne of FDS and find it was a joke. I had big trubbles to be refunded by that company. Same with the ATR42/72 by Aerosoft. The sound compared to the real thing is a joke too. Furthermore, this plane is impossible to trim after a given speed. Jus a mess. May be good for autopilot pilots, but if you want to fly it manually you can notice how badly it is done. The Dash 8 Frolov has first of all accurate sounds, not only when flying, but also on ground, when rolling, and so on...But the plane has also an almost accurate behavior of turboprop. 99% of all turboprop made by designer for FS have the typical sound managed by the throttle, which is wrong. In the DASH8 Frolov you really feel the props when you setting them. Did you ever hear the typical sound when going from low pitch to high pitch in a turboprop ??? Or when sliding a some millimeters from Idle and were the Pitch varies from -3
January 9, 200422 yr Mr Wielgus,Actually, your statement "I had big trubbles to be refunded by that company" is downright dishonest. It was your lack of civility that had[n] me [/b]terminate the License and it was [n]me personally [/b] who initiated the refund which you never even requested. For you to misrepresent the facts as you have maliciously done here, is very disappointing. I would be interested to learn from you (privately) how you are able to make an assessment of the FSD software you claimed you never managed to get installed. This venue would not be an appropriate place for such a discussion.http://www.fsd-international.com/team/Steve_signature.gif
January 9, 200422 yr Mister Small,OK. I had a lack of civility, but I had strong reason for that.OK. You have initiated the refund ?? Right, how could I do it. I just could ask for it.OK. I am malicious. Oh dear, thanks for the compliment. But fact is:You are the seller, and I am (was) the customer and with the right of criticism about what I just spent money for. It's my money and you have really big problems with that. I have bought for several tousand dollars items soft and hardware related to flight sim ( and started it when you probably still were in diapers) and havemade lots of friends by sellers. I can feel happy after having spent 1000$ for a given product and upset when I bought something for 20 $ which is not worth it.I just believe that reacting as you did confirms the fact that you do not respect at all the opinion of your (former) customers.QUOTE: >>I would be interested to learn from you (privately) how you are able to make an assessment of the FSD software you claimed you never managed to get installed. This venue would not be an appropriate place for such a discussion.I just had to make about five attempt on two different computer as you noticed yourself by sending me the log of your site connection. It speaks for itself. Great software. Just to clarify. For an add-on like the Dash8 by Oleksiy Frolov I would have pay a lot as I did for several other valuable payware as Project Magenta glass cockpit for instance and dozen of others.RegardsRoger Wielgus
January 9, 200422 yr Hi Tom !I have a friend in Venezuela who provided myself and a few others a beta version of a King Air (B200, if memory serves.) It came with a cockpit that, whilst still not fully functioning in some of the sub-panels, was still superb. As it was a beta I can't really comment further other than to say that it will be worth the wait.I can't remember off-hand whether this was going to be freeware or payware.Cheers,Alastair
January 9, 200422 yr Hello All,Well, since I was one of the first posters on this subject, and also have owned Steve's Piper, I feel, perhaps, that I could comment on what Mr. Wielgus has said.First, although I don't doubt your saying it, 'Thousands of dollars on FS software'. . . is one heap of a ton of software. Guess you should take pics of your system and set up, I'll bet its a peach. I am a most avid simmer and doubt seriously since FS4 if I have spent over 800 bucks, (American) on software since I started . . .and I do buy alot of addons. Now, I have spent about a grand on a good yoke, throttles . . .but that's not software. Oh, lets not forget the every two year $1500 upgrade to ones computer to make FS run faster..LOL.On the matter of the Piper, well, I had it in 2002 and then installed it in 2004 (FS9) and until a recent computer HD issue, (used the FS9 upgrade and loved the changing pitch props), found it to be a most delightful aircraft which if you do it by the numbers, it flies quite nicely. Now, don't take my word as just a simmer, however I also happen to be a real world pilot with excess of 15K hours of left seat time . . . and guess what, have flown the Piper in real life and thought that Steves issue was a fair and good likeness, (keeping in mind FS's built in restrictions), of what the real aircraft represented. Now, I'm just one person, however I do believe that the Piper is a very good aircraft from a payware viewpoint. What other problems you have had with the Pipers producers are between you and them, however I have found in the past that Steve Small is an honorable man, who has given this community more than enough freebies . . . and I feel his payware is outstanding.Just my .02 cents worth . . . and I still would like to see a real King Air as payware and would love to see one just half as good as the Piper!Best to all,Clayton T. January 9, 200422 yr I believe the one you mention might be the Veneaviones models, which looked very nice and has been in development since last Jan. I remember reading a post from Andrew that actually gave a reason for it's long development time, in which he said the modeler (which isn't the guy from the Citation) has other projects and commitments that take priority, so it might be awhile if ever before it is released or even finished.Would be nice though.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VACougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviation[link:www.cgrmthelos.com]Cougar Mountain Helicopters Best, Michael KDFW
