While editing the default FS9 B744 panel with FS Panel Studio I discovered this photo of this cute little boy "behind" the EICAS display. Is this the son of MS's designer of the B744 panel? Had he just put the pic there to have his son with him while working on this panel and then simply forgot to remove the pic? Or left he the pic there on purpose? As a joke? Or is he so proud of his son, that he want his pic be distibuted all over the world?Or is this simply an easter egg? What do you think?Whatever it is I had a good laugh, when I discovered it.Wolfganghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/66137.jpg

Could definately be characterized as a easter egg that lolIt was in FS2002 as well I remember, only it was newborn picture then - wich makes sense I guess :)Have zero idea who's kid it is, but yeah probably one of the designers.

:-lol Funny stuff.

I was not quite correct. The photo is not "behind" the EICAS gauge, but it is programmed into the EICAS gauge.Wolfgang

That would certainly explain why that panel of all the default panels is the biggest framerate eater. ;-)Misha

I agree misha. Cute kid, but I don't know if I want to be spending cpu cycles on the pic. Rather have them go into boosting my fps, even by just a bit. Funny, yes, stupid, yes....billg

Poor kid, now the whole simworld will blame him for bad performance! :-lol But honestly now, I do not think, that this photo will have any influence on the framerates.Wolfgang

If it's there, it's being loaded with the gauge and takes up as much memory as the size of the pic. Compare the fps performance of the default 744 with any of the other default airliners, you'll see the difference. Misha

Stupid is going a bit far, don't you think, bill?

Wolfgang:This is apparently a picture of this particular programmer's child a bit older than when he was first discovered lurking in the 747 EICAS in FS2002.http://www.2decker.com/media/solent1-2.JPGAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MDhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/66512.jpg
