September 8, 201114 yr Dear all, Apart the fact that the aircraft has a very realistic behavior, I was deeply disappointed with the level of realism from the avionics proposed (except the GNS 430 which can be replaced by the reality-XP one). Collins audio panel: Marker test switch position not working;Collins Com/Nav: Frequency store function not working;King/Bendix KR87 ADF: no functions from the actual device are modeled, Frq switching, Flt/ET function, and most important the ADF button (That I use to check if the needle of the ADF indicator is not U/S);King/Bendix KT76A transponder: The Ident button doesn't function;King/Bendix DME indicator: the Hold position is not implemented;Suction indicator: The two small red plastic balls should be out of sight when the suction pumps are working (red ball should appear when suction pump fails or is not working e.g. associated engine is shut down.) and the needle should indicate less than 6 PSI (as already reported in another thread);ASI: the TAS ring is not working. Is there any plans to implement some or all of those functions? Best regards, Amedee
September 8, 201114 yr I wish I had seen this before I bought it! I had been holding off until the first service pack, which just came out. I just downloaded the plane this afternoon. Haven't had time to check it yet. Maybe some of these were addresses in the SP. Joe Brown
September 9, 201114 yr Maybe some of these were addresses in the SP.I very much doubt that. Other than the suction indicator, these are design limitations rather than bugs. Some of them, such as the DME indicator hold position, I've never seen implemented in any FSX addon. September 13, 201114 yr Well, No Carenado plane ever featured any system depth. They are more the eyecandy side of life.If you want system depth and realism, you have to look elsewhere.(As this is the Carenado forum, i will not mention any other names.) September 13, 201114 yr Well, No Carenado plane ever featured any system depth. They are more the eyecandy side of life.If you want system depth and realism, you have to look elsewhere. LOL, the 337 is the first plane for FSX which features the additional drag with open gear doors. That's what I call realism,That's something you notice on every flight and that can put you in serious trouble. IMHO this is much more important than an e.g. not working Marker test switch.
September 17, 201114 yr King/Bendix KR87 ADF: no functions from the actual device are modeled, Frq switching, Flt/ET function, and most important the ADF button (That I use to check if the needle of the ADF indicator is not U/S); I miss these functions too! As far as I know, they've never implemented this in any of their aircrafts... it's just a simple ADF freq selection (and without the sby one!).
