FSUIPC question wrt Saiteck Yoke

Featured Replies

can someone with FSUIPC and a Saitek Yoke tell me if FSUIPC can read the mode switch located on the top rear of the right hand grip? Thanks!

Cheers, Scott Ball

Just tried it and it did not recognize any of the three positions. Regards, Nathan Harwood

Dispite what many here are saying, I use the Yoke, with throttle quadrant, using the Saitek Pro Flight Smart Technology SD6 program. It works great and all buttons work in all three modes. I tried FSUIPC to get my Multi-Panel and Switch panel to work but was only partially successful so gave up and went with just the Quadrant.

I can get the software to work just fine, better in fact than what I can get out of FSUIPC, but I can't stop the phantom key presses and view changes that come along with it. The gear going up and down, view changes all over the place, and autopilot disconnects, all happening at random drives a guy crazy. You've never had those problems wildtrout? Regards, Nathan Harwood

It can use the three mode switches fine but they just read as on and dont go on/off so as a button they are no good. However as a modifier they are great. I use them for compound button (using one button to do multiple things).See compound buttons in the FSUIPC docs (needs to be registered).

Try deleting all FSX assignments under the Slew heading. I believe this is a well known problem. I had this issue and deleting everything but the number keys needed for actually slewing did the trick.

To get the three-position modal switch, you have to load the MS or Saitek driver for the yoke. It is not necessary to install the Saitek SST software. When the driver is installed correctly, you will see the modal switch in the Windows 'Game Controller Settings' applet - as buttons 9, 10, & 11. Only after you see the modal switch working here, can you begin FSUIPC compound button programming.
