Aircraft designers that include setup.exe in their programs?

Featured Replies

I recently came across some planes designed by Jens Kristensen. When I went to install them it was a breeze with no problem. What makes this so easy was the setup.exe file that self installed everything. I am by far not a computer guru, and was wondering if anyone could tell me any other designers that include this?? I always have problems trying to manually download aircraft.

I know that for myself, I would rather do it manually than have some exe do it for me. That way I can look at everything, and see exactly where it's all going.

I agree 100%. I hate installers that put things in my FSX. I want to do it myself. I always point the installer to a Temp folder, if it allows it, and have them install it there and then move the files myself. I don't want them to overwrite any files that I have already modified, or have a later file date. Bob.

Some developers make it easy, some dont, some make it damn near impossible, best to check their forums before purchasing.

I've checked alot of forums and have a hard time finding them. Does anyone know any designers that incoporate set up files in their aircraft?

I wish they would take an extra couple of minutes to put in the correct call sign. I have changed 'British Airways' to 'Speed Bird' and 'Jet2' to 'Channex' countless times. It's a bit annoying when you have set up the flight and call ATC and there is no call sign. Rant over.Phil
