Cables connection

Featured Replies

Cables from the pump - molex cable connects to a molex plug, the three pin plug with one wire connects to the CPU fan header for monitoring. The two cables from the fans on either side of the radiator plug into the top of the pump casing which can be adjusted via the button on the front of the pump assembly. With this case the caps on the fan cables can be removed and then plugged into the various fans around the case. this allows the case fans to be adjusted manually via the fan control on the front of the case.Don't over complicate the fan connections. How I know this - I have a H80 and 600t case.

That is so confusing to read.

You have to be kidding? Right? Power cable from pump molex-single wire on same loom to cpu fan header, two radiator fans connected to top of cpu pump assembly(heatsink). That's a simple concept.Try and have another read Zach.Too many people provide convoluted responses to relatively simple problems.

I'll explain. The punctuation was hard to keep up with, and I was having a having a hard time wrapping my small brain around it. Let alone someone who isn't aware of what a CPU Header is. Simple indeed, if the instructions are eligible! No offense intended, Andrew.

Why are you being a smartarse. Offense taken. The three pin female plug connected to the single cable, which is in the same loom as the power cable from the fan(molex), is connected to the 4 pin cpu fan connection(header) for the purpose of monitoring. BTW don't you mean legible?

I'm not. I'm saying it's hard to understand! Good grief.
Fair enough, listen just trying to help, I know I had to do a little research regarding the cable connections, not only for the CPU cooler but also for the fan connectors on the 600T case.

This may clear the connection issue uphttp://www.youtube.com/embed/BWWFjsJONYc

This is so confusing to read. Technical english is sometimes a mess... Conclusion? I didn´t understand nothing ;) harpsi

Dicko, can you correct my pictures above, and write exactly which fan is going to each of the 6 conectors on the motherboard? harpsi

Hi DIcko, I put the fans where you said. Result: the computer didn´t even start... I can not find in the bios of Asus P8Z68-V Pro the item: set the PWR FAN 1 manually to 100 % I can not monitor both fans of the radiator to the same speed as well... or at least I can not find that item on the bios as well... If someone could help... In the image I have the item POWER FAN 1 SPEED with the options IGNORE or MONITOR. What should I do? harpsi

None of the fans are connected to the motherboard fan headers! The two radiator fans are connected to the top of the CPU heatsink(the square box mounted on the CPU for cooling)The power wire that runs from the CPU heatsink is connected directly to a molex connector. With this power wire with a molex connector is another 3 pin connector on a single wire. This is connected to the CPU fan header, not to power the fan but simply for monitoring purposes.
