Just got rid of the horrible Milky Way if anyone is interested.

Wow, how have I missed this thread over the past three years? I was about to ask if this replacement version is more subtle and realistic, but then I noticed that this is stated in the file library download details. So, I get a much better representation of the Milky Way in my flight simulator, and I avoided bothering anyone by asking what has probably been a repetitive question (see the "Call to Arms - Keeping a Valued Resource valuable" thread).

Double whammy!

If you don't like the depiction of the Milky Way in FSX, why not just tone down the intensity a bit, ie make it a bit more transparent or less opaque?

I'm not concerned about the MilkyWay appearance of the stars themselves in FSX....I'm getting some crazy aberration over the skies of Rio De Janeiro during sunset that no one else has mentioned?  It's being discussed in another thread where the Moderator says this is caused by the MilkyWay file somehow.

Is there another thread where THIS abberation is discussed pertaining to the MilkyWay file?
