September 25, 201114 yr Who?Anyone who loaded a default aircraft first, then loaded the NGX. Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
September 25, 201114 yr Author I thought PMDG advised NOT to load a default flight before loading the 737ngx. So I always start with free flight and load my Ngx there. jos denis Tis not recommended, but does not cause me any issue under normal circumstances. I'm not advising anyone to adopt the practice, but it's clear many of us do it and this fixes the CTD it causes upon installing the hotfix. Chris Hicks
September 25, 201114 yr hi Chris,Glad your solution fixes the CTD for many users experiencing this problem after hotfix 4.That's what's important until PMDG sorts things out.jos denis
September 26, 201114 yr Author I'm giving this a bump to the top because it looks like a few are still having the issue. See what happens when we don't follow PMDG suggestions? Chris Hicks
September 26, 201114 yr Man, I really feel for you guys with all the CTDs. Since installing the NGX and each hotfix, I've not had one single crash. Very early on, I had just one VC freezup, but that's all. If there's ANYTHING in the setup of my PC that anyone want's a look at, please just ask. September 29, 201114 yr Hi folks! I did not have any CTD before applying the latest Hotfix (All previous fixes has worked just fine). Seemed like I was lucky on my first flight Yesterday, after applying the fix and reinstalling the liveries, but today the FSX crashed every time I tried to start up a flight. Normally I start directly with the NGX from the Free Flight window. It appears to be working but after the "count-down" it's CTD. The workaround also works for me, when starting with a DEFAULT saved aircraft/location. Then switch to the NGX
February 20, 201214 yr I had the same problem today but just went into my "airplanes" file and renamed the NGX folders so that FSX couldn't recognize them and it let me change my default aircraft with no problem!!!...then went back and restored the NGX previous named folders...hope this helps somebody!Steve
