Panel Darkness

Featured Replies

I'm sure this is a configuration item someplace but on my system the whole cockpit is so dark (day time) that it is very hard to see the gauges and switches. Could it be some entry in the ENBseries.ini file? Of course this doesn't prevent the aircraft from flying. But, these old eyes have a hard time with the cockpit. BTW - the cockpit is dark regardless of the zoom factor and both the 2D and VC cockpits have this problem. Can someone help? Thanks so much. Frank Bass

Hi Frank, Have you tried turning on the dome lights, switch is located centre right of GNS alignment

Or the progressive panel lighting for that matter? The lettering and gauge backlighting work fully during the daytime and improve legibility 100% minimum. Andrew

Try to disable ENBSeries for starters with Shift-F12. See if that works.

Thanks folks. First, turning on panel lighting seems counter intuitive - after all, the whole panel is dark even in daylight. Surely the panel should be lighter (background color) in daylight. The panel lighting is used for those occasions when the whole cockpit is in darkness - like at night. Perhaps I don't see the larger picture. It wouldn't be the first time. He%20He.gif Regarding disabling ENBSeries - I'll check that out and get back to you. Perhaps there is a configuration issue there. Again thanks. Frank Bass
