From 1999 to 2008 i spent £1000's on hardware, software and had so many us and downs.I had a rig capable of running FSX on high (not ultra high) even around KJFK, KORD, EGLL etc without even sweating, all with 100's of AI's flying around. Starting uni i had to sell all the components and buy an Alienware laptop.£999 the Alienware cost, and it cannot handle FSX, so i am looking at buying just a tower to run FSX.I cannot for the life of me remember what rig i had. It was before the i3, i5, i7 era etc, i think i had an EVGA 9800 512mb.I have found this, for a meer £500. HelloBit of a waste though pairing a great unlocked CPU with a motherboard which cannot allow the K series chip to be overclocked.For FSX you will be save money and not lose performance going for an i5 2500K on a P67 or Z68.Build it yourself and you will have a much better system overall. This system will blow the doors off that one from Ebay, throw it all in a case of your choice and you should be very happy.

Ive just gone to the 2500K and have it running at 5.0Ghz, with a GX570, you will not be dissapointed :)

Cheers everyone.. I have the old tower (massive) from my system of 3 years ago, so for £20 more i would rather buy the components seperate. I am fine with dealing with them as i built my last one, i just wasn't aware of the current standards. By run it fine, what sort of settings will i be able to set, to schieve 20+ FPS? PS where are those quotes from? Chees again guys.

HelloThe quote I put together very quickly from Overclockers.UK http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ I have an i5 2500K @ 4.3ghz which is only a mild OC for one of these chips and I run the PMDG NGX locked at 40fps smooth as butter.This is over GenerationX scenery with all of UK2000 airports + treescapes uk so my autogen is also quite high.Heathrow can still pull the frames back but you would hardly notice. I have you-tubed many search phrases that include 'FSX' along with 'i7', 'i5' etc as well as gaphics card terms, and many come back with the sandy bridge one, which i believe is this i5 2500k you suggested. If i bought the items you have included in your picture, plus a (750?) power unit and tower, i'd be on track to get back where i belong, amongst all the AI i miss and those harsh crosswind landings? :)

Ig get a Nvidai 560Ti the ATI cards have being known for having issues with clouds, not sure if they have fixed the issue

I'll probably go with the full system that mad dog posted matey, which included the 560ti
