October 24, 201114 yr So I was flying from EGLL to EGPF and then as I'm about to configure approach on app/dep page of the FMC I get an error saying something like 'invalid PIN' and after that point I couldn't select an approach at all!I don't have any of the hotfixes installed as I've never really had a problem..Wondered if anyone else has also had similar issues...Thanks
October 24, 201114 yr I remember reading a few reports of that shortly after release, but they seemed to quit around the time hf1/2 were released. You might try installing hf4. Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
October 24, 201114 yr I have HF4 installed and I occasionaly get the INVALID PROGRAM PIN warning, in fact I've only noticed it since installing HF4, but that could be coincidence. I've found using the F/O's CDU is a useful workaround if the error prevents me getting at a CDU page. I think it's something to do with the multiple options PMDG has provided sometimes not loading correctly, so the CDU gets confused. In the aircraft FMC options can be selected by program pins.My personal view is the hotfixes are worth installing. You'll have them soon (hopefully) anyway when SP1 is released.Kevin Hall
October 24, 201114 yr Hi,Do you have service based failures on? The programm pin error seems to be one of them. Try to clear the failure in the failure menu with the remaining CDU. John John Rubens

Try to clear the failure in the failure menu with the remaining CDU.JohnI don't have service based failures on but I get the warning, so I don't think that's the only explanation. However it could be a glitch in the PMDG malfunction system latching the failure on in the panel state without it being selected. I've only had the failure with one livery (I've been flying PMDG House since I uninstalled all the other liveries for HF4 (before I later found that wasn't necessary).Kevin Hall
November 20, 201114 yr Open a ticket with PMDG support and ensure you give exact stos to reproduce. They will check it out. George Morris
