November 3, 201114 yr I have been using the NGX 8/900 without problems for awhile now, no CTDs, fatal errors etc.---Then, I added the 6/700 and the problems began. When I open FSX and load the 700, after about 30 seconds it turns to the infamous, "skeleton" and every other time I try to continue setting-up the free flight, I get a fatal error with the pop-up that I have run out of available memory. I have 488GB of available memory on the drive FSX is installed on, so I am not sure that is the issue. Also, I have received a few CTD's with the following report in the event viewer:Log Name: ApplicationSource: Application ErrorDate: 11/2/2011 6:57:32 AMEvent ID: 1000Task Category: (100)Level: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: Owner-PCDescription:Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14Faulting module name: PMDG_737NGX.DLL, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4eaa4addException code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x001fb7d2Faulting process id: 0xe50Faulting application start time: 0x01cc9954ea5371ccFaulting application path: D:\FSX\fsx.exeFaulting module path: D:\FSX\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX.DLLReport Id: d866b9e6-0549-11e1-ade3-14dae903fbacEvent Xml:<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2011-11-02T11:57:32.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>8558</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>Owner-PC</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>fsx.exe</Data> <Data>10.0.61637.0</Data> <Data>46fadb14</Data> <Data>PMDG_737NGX.DLL</Data> <Data>1.0.0.0</Data> <Data>4eaa4add</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>001fb7d2</Data> <Data>e50</Data> <Data>01cc9954ea5371cc</Data> <Data>D:\FSX\fsx.exe</Data> <Data>D:\FSX\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX.DLL</Data> <Data>d866b9e6-0549-11e1-ade3-14dae903fbac</Data> </EventData></Event>fsx.exe 10.0.61637.0 46fadb14 PMDG_737NGX.DLL 1.0.0.0 4eaa4add c0000005 001fb7d2 e50 01cc9954ea5371cc D:\FSX\fsx.exe D:\FSX\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX.DLL d866b9e6-0549-11e1-ade3-14dae903fbacI have uninstalled and reinstalled the 6/700 with a fresh download and the issues are still present. I installed both times with all firewalls and AV applications off, and I ran the installer as admin. I am sure that the fixes are simple, and any and all help would be greatly appreciated.A++ product for sure.John E. DeAngelisFort Worth, TX www.swavirtual.com John D. November 3, 201114 yr Running out of memory has nothing to do with your hard drive space available... it concerns RAM, and contiguous blocks of RAM available. You reach a hard limit and FSX says "no more"...Odd to see an OOM on your 64 bit system... quite a powerful one at that too...Something is not happy, tracking that down is always difficult!Andrew Andrew Entwistle
November 3, 201114 yr maybe remove the overclock to troubleshoot, first thing i would do Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
November 3, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the quick replies thus far---I will try to undo the overclock and keep searching for fixes. John D. November 4, 201114 yr I was having similar problems, when in fact there was enough memory... it is something weird. I don't know what it is...it loads fine one day, the next day gives me that exact problem and there is no way to load the plane. This is how is works for me....start FSX with the default flight, the one with the glider...open your FSX.cfg file go down and delete what ever situation you have..leave it blank, it will load the default one... even if it it on the air, you will see that your plane will load, any of them. (PMDG'S) CReate a flight & save it...After I do that and start it, when I re-start fsx with a saved pmdg flight it will load. Sometimes I just load the default, then load the plane, then go to an airport and create a flight.
