November 20, 201114 yr Hi,Making a flight with the 900NGX, FL350. In the CRZ page I enter FL370 as a possible step climb. Initially the return answer is to make that climb in 842 nm. Sounds good. Then, the field turns blank and a couple of seconds later it says NOW.Don't think so because it also says that optimal FL is 346, max is 369....On the Progress page it then says that I should have stepclimbed -999273 nm miles ago...No matter the other values, this can never be correct.Has anybody seen this too?MennoEdit: I left the optional stepclimb in and just noticed the plane will indeed perform it. The faulty - 999273 now sudden has changed into 16 nm.... So it does work, but the readouts are strange. Menno i7-11700, 16GB, 1 TB SSD, 2 TB HDD, RTX 3070, Windows 11, MSFS 2020 DeLuxe, P3D 4.5

November 20, 201114 yr I have noticed a few issues with step climb too.Hope it will be improved for the next service pack.Fred. Frederic Steiner.

November 21, 201114 yr Ryan, I have noticed that the entry of a step climb altitude during pre-flight can play havoc with other data in the FMC. Yesterday I was in the pre-flight routine with the 700W, for a flight from KMDW to KPHL. Optimum altitude was 38700, and max was about 40000. Trip altitude was 38000, but since this was a east bound flight, I decided to use 39000 as the step climb since it was within range of the optimum/max figures. FMC also shows the fuel savings with this step climb inforce, so I left the crz altitude at 37000 with the expected step at 39000.However, during this instance or any time a step climb altitude is input in the FMC, I lose the 250kt speed restriction below 10000 feet during climb, as it defaults to the econ climb speed for the way points below 10000ft. Remove the step climb data, and the FMC correctly lists 250kts for way points below 10000 during the climb. This is also seen in the CLB page, where the 250kt restriction is blanked out (and the DES page also loses the speed/altitude restriction)Can we expect a fix for this step climb related behavior as well?
