MD-11F FS Build Profile

Featured Replies

Guys, I need a performance file for the MD-11F to use in FS Build, does one such exist? It's not on FS Builds website or forum. I cannot find one and I hope there is one out there!

Angle of attack provides one for the MD-11 Freighter, only. I haven't check the FSBuild forum to see if there'sone for the PAX. You have to subscribe to AOA's MD-11 training to download the profile.

Ron, I have created my own profile for other aircraft myself. It isn't that difficult once you see how things flow, no pun intended. Here is a link to FSBuild's forum where Ernie Alston describes how to create your own profile. In the meantime I will see if I can find one for you.http://www.fsbuild.c...topic.php?t=188

i thought some has been released if not ill dig into my datas and will make something.all the best.Phil

Comparing Fuel, Engine Data and Turbine Engine Data on both the MD-11 PAX and Freighter version I see that PMDG has incorporated the same values for each version, although unrealistic the PRF file that is included with FSBuild will work just fine given what we have. The only way that it could make a difference is if you changed the metrics between the 2 versions in their respective .CFG files and may prove to be not only difficult but disastrous. Looking at my TOPCAT fuel planner I compared both the PAX and Freighter versions using the same payload value and found that the PAX was 22377 LBS heavier than the Freighter.PAXPayload 95440Dry Operating Weight 273373ZFW 368813Take Off Fuel 50700TOW 419513Trip Fuel 26000Landing Weight 393513Taxi Out Fuel 1800FreighterPayload 95440Dry Operating Weight 250996 (22377)ZFW 346436Take Off Fuel 47900 (2800)TOW 394336Trip Fuel 24590 (1410)Landing Weight 369746Taxi Out Fuel 1800So looking at the numbers you can see that the values are different where the variances are contained within the brackets. It seems that TOPCAT takes burn values into account.

So ok, thanks guys. I just found an MD-11 Pax version for FS Build, so your saying it is the same thing as the Frighter version too? If so then I can use that one I guess.Cheers
