Widescreen Windows

Featured Replies

Hello,I run an eyefinity config and so have the Widescreen function set. It works great but i have a problem...well actually more of an annoyance; basically pop-up panels are badly stretched, they can be resized but it's quite irritating.I know that these pop-up panels can be edited in panel.cfg, what sizes do people use? Thanks

I do not use widescreen, but do use different size monitorsfor auxillary windows.I have found trial and error is necessary. It depends on the resolutions.Every case is different. And each panel is different, what works for one panelusually doesn't for another even with the same monitor(s).

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I think I can help... Let's open default c172 panel.cfg and scroll down to [Window01]You will find:window_pos=0.756,0.358window_size=0.243,0.641just above next window section.window_pos is the percentage (.756 = 75,6%) from the upper right corner of Your dispaly (I believe that's full screen resolution).Window_size is the percentage (.243 = 24,3%) of its size in accordance to full screen resolution. So, in order to narrow it down by 3 (that's the option for me 3x16x9) we simply divide the width (0.243) by three:window_size=0.081,0.641If You want to have the window in the rightmost side of Your display:window_pos=0.919,0.358(0.919 is 100% width minus 8,1% width)VoilaI guess it is clear enough. If You want to alter ATC window, open default flight, bring it to the full screen, position the window, make the needed size, decrease the width to 1/3 of needed width and save the flight as default or copy/paste the following (from just saved flight to the default one):[Atc_Menu]ScreenUniCoords=1944, 1219, 4303, 3706
