December 18, 201114 yr I think you possibly hit the nail on the head Larry-unless there is a big control problem of some kind-I also had not noticed it till brought up. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 19, 201114 yr I have noticed the roll tendency also and figured it was exaggerated p-factor, I turned the alereron stability all the way up and is at least make it manageble with trim. On a different note, has anybody noticed that the turn coordinator is waaay off. A standard rate turn should be three degrees per second. To get the turn rate indicator to read standard rate I almost have to put the aircraft in a 45 degee bank at Va. It's the same way in FSX
December 23, 201114 yr Does anybody own the F33A for FSX ? I'm wondering if it rolls to the right when you pull the power back to ideal ?The Carenado 172 in XPX has a little bit of a roll problem as well. I know it doesn't roll to the right in FSX. None of the default planes in XPX roll to the right when you pull the power to ideal. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
December 23, 201114 yr I recommend everybody email Carenado if they think this is a issue!"We have not had any comments regarding this issue.Does it happens always at any wind condition?""Carenado" AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
December 23, 201114 yr You mean the FS issue of the rudder inputs not changing when changing power settings? Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

December 23, 201114 yr I was looking at some video footage I took while flying a Cessna 172 in the traffic pattern. I did not notice the plane banking to the right when pulling the power back to idle on final. Looking at the turn cordinator, It yaws to the left and right a bit and it banks to the right and left a bit, but nothing more then a few degrees. I cant really tell what I was doing with the rudders or the ailerons since its not visible in the footage.I am going flying on monday, so I will take some notes ! December 23, 201114 yr That's why a high performance is a rating. C172 a different animal- and you would never pull the power like a 172. Enjoy your flight! Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 23, 201114 yr That's why a high performance is a rating. C172 a different animal- and you would never pull the power like a 172. Enjoy your flight! The Carenado 172 wants to roll to the right when you pull the power as well, not as bad as the F33A. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
December 23, 201114 yr Bet you don't notice it in the Real plane as your feet are dancing and doing what they have to, as they should.I really haven't noticed this as much as I have noticed all xplane's want to do this after being trimmed out in level cruise-which would be unexpected in a well rigged plane. Also a bug-manifold doesn't lose 1 inch per thousand ft., produces way too much power and performance in the higher altitudes, and I personally haven't seen such power at sea level in a normally aspirated Bo or Baron engine.(27 inches usually max). Great feel in the air though-and the Dutch rolling and even rolling motion with power/pitch changes are something Xplane does well FSX doesn't-I sure don't want to make Xplane like FS in this dept-clearly and area where blade element excels. December 25, 201114 yr I think it's both a control issue and an over-sensitivity issue. Re. controls, I found that calibrating the controls with another app is helpful to get a better center/course, But I'm running Linux so everything is different. Re. over-sensitivity, I found that putting the sliders at about 50% "realism" is in fact more realistic, at least in small Cessnas, on which I have about 100 hours in RL. The plane feels more heavy and stable than with the sliders full-left ("realistic"). That's definitely a tweak to play with.
