  1. Haha oh man this type of reply always cracks me up. After all is said and done a sim is still for entertainment.
  2. Good points. Trying not to over use the DCS example because there are obviously alot of differences between the two but I wanted to point out that they also released their beta's at full price if i remember right, and that was without the option of a demo. They evolve over time. I will agree that XPX is FAR from finished but I am going to withhold final judgement before i completely write it off. Thankfully i still have FSX and DCS sprinkled with XPX on top to keep me occupied.I have not read all the pre release jargon so if LR is quoted to have made a promise that is not included in the initial release, then shame on them :)
  3. Eagle Dynamics has laid out a very vague timeline with it's DCS series, but still play their cards VERY close to the chest. I feel LR is doing the same in some ways. I just hope it isn't hype
  4. Just tried for my self. I did lose about 4kts of ground speed according to the GNS at cruise settings, I was expecting a little more. At some point thrust and drag would equal and you should not lose anymore speed when holding lvl flight in the slip, I have never flown a real bonanza so i will have to digress on how accurate the model is. Still imo one of the best for XPX
  5. I agree with geofa on this, if you try and maintain alt in a slip of course you will lose airspeed because of the added drag. The whole purpose of a slip is to descend without picking up speed much like the flaps are meant to do on a normal approach. As far as slowing to Vs in a slip i have also seen CFIs do this (i have never had a reason to attempt this on my own) but as far as spin goes it is a "skid"(opposite of a slip) that will get you in trouble fast but either can lead to a spin.PS just my two cents RealAIR make cherry adonn A/C and i would love to one day see them or something comparable in XPX
  6. I do, the roll is defiantly not as noticeable in the fsx version
  7. I have noticed the roll tendency also and figured it was exaggerated p-factor, I turned the alereron stability all the way up and is at least make it manageble with trim. On a different note, has anybody noticed that the turn coordinator is waaay off. A standard rate turn should be three degrees per second. To get the turn rate indicator to read standard rate I almost have to put the aircraft in a 45 degee bank at Va. It's the same way in FSX
