December 19, 201114 yr Author Yeah, that GPU is fine, that or the $200 560TiCome on, Dario. I know you know some better ones out there. I'm trying to stay less than $1,110. Here's my current TOTAL build: ASUS Basic DVD Writer/Reader CD Writer/Reader http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204-----$19.99 CoolerMaster HAF912 Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233-----$49.99 Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA Hard Drive, Bare Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697-----$129.99 Is this a good drive? TRENDnet Wi-Fi Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156054-----$29.99 Can you confirm this card will fit into my P67? Worth it? I checked the prices with Amazon and there were $5~$10 price differences that are not really worth buying separately. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
December 19, 201114 yr Looks great. With this RAM you save $7, LOL. Really not much more you can add to improve performance in FSX.Add that EVGA GTX460 1GB and you're set
December 19, 201114 yr Author One thing I can't understand, why do a lot of people on this forum (including you, who is recommending a 2500k) have a 2600k? If Multi Threading is not a big deal now as most programs don't have it, is that 2MB really worth $100? :( Or, are people (like Zach was saying) being "macho"?Whatever. :Rolling Eyes:Question:The 460 I mentioned above seems like a new product; it has no reviews whatsoever. But also, there are 2 versions, a superclocked one for $159 and a non-superclocked for $149. Is it worth it to go those extra 10 for the super clocked? Here they are: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814130749 and http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814130750Also, is it wise to buy something without looking at the reviews which there are none?Question:How about this 550ti? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130652 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127577 (cheaper than a 460!!!) or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133383 :( :( :Shocked:550tis are cheaper than I thought! i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
December 19, 201114 yr Or, are people (like Zach was saying) being "macho"?Yep, it's all about being macho! "I have a 2600K, and you got 2500K, mine is better faster and cooler, nananananaanaaa" Cool as in kewl!
December 19, 201114 yr Author Yep, it's all about being macho! "I have a 2600K, and you got 2500K, mine is better faster and cooler, nananananaanaaa" Cool as in kewl!Lame as in lame! You have one as well! Can you anwser my question though? i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
December 19, 201114 yr I ordered a I5 2500K + P8P67 Pro within days of the Sandy Bridge release. A couple of days later the store emailed me saying the had run out of 2500K stock, and they didn't know when it would be available. Waited a while and run out of patience so changed the order for a I7 2600K. I found a buyer for my old I5 750 + p7p55 and was without a computer, so that's why I have a 2600K.And get the 460, not the 550Ti. No need to get the superclocked version. If you want to overclock it you can do it yourself in seconds with MSI Afterburner for example

Also, is the one I showed you there (non super clocked) a new card? Is that why it has no reviews? Also, are AMD RADEONs bad for FSX? December 19, 201114 yr Anyone? Dario?Diego, as said before in this thread, the 550ti isn't a good card. The GTX 460 beats it, and you can get one used for cheaper. The. 560ti. Is. Better. Don't. Get. The. 550!!! Seriously though, the 550ti will disappoint.Nvidia has been using the numbering system's for years. The 8500 was the slowest "gamer" gfx card in it's generation. The 250 the slowest in it's. The 450... 550. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

December 19, 201114 yr Author Come on, nobody will help me? I only have until tomorrow in order to get it by Saturday. :( i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
December 20, 201114 yr A GTX460 is a GTX460. And EVGA are one of the best manufacturersI've heard the Hyper 212 is a bit hard to install, but I wouldn't worry too much about that.
December 20, 201114 yr Author A GTX460 is a GTX460.What do you mean? It looks like a great card but nobody has it.... I'm worried. Also, the 6pin connectors of it are straight out instead out to the side. Do you think it can cause a problem when conencting power? I think I can make a 560, this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130660 It's a non-ti model. Is it any good? Also, the GTX460 I mentioned (according to EVGA) is quite an old model...I've heard the Hyper 212 is a bit hard to install, but I wouldn't worry too much about that.OMG! What now?!?!?! I'm a step away from pressing the "Pay safely with PayPal" button! i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
