Stanner,The CD version will be Version SP1 so no updates should be required.

I am hesitant to buy the PMDG 737NGX when the CD boxed version is made available because in a few months Microsoft "FLIGHT" will be issued, and from what I can gather it is somewhat doubtful that PMDG 737NGX will operate in Flight. I hate to spend that much money, and find that it will not operate in Flight. If history repeats itself, I would bet that just as with FS2004 and FSX, addons, that worked in FSX, will be few that will operate in Flight, particularly PMDG.

Stanner,it has been what, six years? since the FSX came out and they are still people that moan about NGX not being FS9 compatibile. Do you really think that Flight will be so good that you will switch to it in any foreseeable future?Truly I am much more bummed by XPL10 compatibility.
