Assigned always at ramp, not at gates. How change this?

Featured Replies

Hi all,After landing the passenger MD-11 I am assigned always not at a gate but at a ramp, usually a remote one. This is at any airport, either native or addon. How can I change this to get an 'ordinary' gate assignet? Thanks,Christos

Hi Christos!! I dont have the full answer but i take it your using default atc and your not using aes?

Yes, using default atc.Christos

The only way i know round this is to get something like radar contact, u can then choose the gate u want to taxi to. Someone else might know differently

I do believe there is a way to do this. Go into the airplane.cfg file and delete the ramp entries under the [fltsim.xxx] entry(ies) there is an option "atc_parking_types=GATE, RAMP". Just delete the RAMP part.

Most of the time, since most developers see that most of the MD-11s have made their way out of passenger service to cargo service, their airport files only show the MD-11 as a valid aircraft on remote and cargo stands.(is there enough 'most' in that run-on sentence?)

Kyle, as long as you don't continuously use "like", "LOL", "JK" or any other teen-speak, I'll be happy. If you do...
