Let me start by saying this, I like Brandon, he's a good kid and he made some good work comparing pictures released from MS, I'm just teasing him a little as he did with me, nothing personal. Now about what John wrote, I always said to all of you who read and are reading what I posted here (and in other forums) that I had a source ( I got laught at BIG time and I can understand why) but let me make something clear here, what ever John told me in his PM is about 5% of what I know or knew at the time about Flight and what you all know now, so I will not call 5% of what I know in a PM my primary source from a year + ago, does he still have the PM he sent me?I remember writing on Orbx Flight's thread when Flight was announced, giving my opinion like everybody else, calling out BS when I saw some.John gave you his reason for his action, here it is.... I sent Alain Needle a PM about a year ago since he was pestering me so much http://forum.avsim.n...out-of-the-bag/ , so if the reason he gave for his action (PM) is good enough for you it's good enough for me, in no way shape of form did he had a gun pointed to his head.Never in all my posts here at Avsim or other forums did I say where I got my info. (and I was asked to) au contraire I always said that I would never tell where I got it and I never did, now if they all want to come out in the open and tell on themself ...well....there is nothing I can do about that so the question is "How much did you all suffer because of that lapse".Let me also make something else clear, I ALWAYS praised Orbx work as I have a lot of their sceneries, I ALWAYS said that Orbx was a good company with very good addons and good peoples working there, I challenge anybody here to find one negative post I wrote about Orbx, Orbx products or any of their members.

Here - "quote name='alainneedle1' timestamp='666' post=''6"'I hate ORBX. I hate their products. I hate all they stand for. The speed of the scenery loading is about as fast as an asthmatic snail carrying home some heavy shopping.'Do I win a prize please? :LMAO:The above was made up by the way!

well color me "I told you so," I am devastated.I retract all hopeful, reasoned, and championing opinions on Flight. Without an SDK for the development of new content by the community, Microsoft fails in an area they helped to pioneer. They are such a "me too" company now that they can't do anything innovative.I don't care if they will offer more content via DLC, if it can't be made by our existing 3rd Party folks, and if there is NO AVENUE for the next generation to make freeware, then it is dead. The cheeky articles, such as this one http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1215651p1.html, talking about how "hard" it was to use a joystick have just made me realize that time has passed me by and I am now the relic.I don't want to have ANYTHING to do with it.We knew the score back when Microsoft promised us continued dedication to "flying games" and today, we see they were right. So again, and please DO GLOAT, you guys who told me so, you sure as hell did.I'll have seconds on that humble pie please.

This statement shows you are an intelligent and wise man, I appreciate a man who recognize being wrong.

No, you are being too kind. I really am quite deflated right now; all the hope that went into my heart 18 months ago is gone. Someone here said it well, how could we have denied fire with all the smoke?30 years, most of which I was involved as a fan/simmer, and this era is dead. Like everyone else, I realize that Prepar3d is the only way forward now.Feeling pretty blue here...

Ive read all these threads with interest. As alain says, he did say he had a source, and he protected it. Ha, it has been an interesting debate and i will kind of miss it!

Thank you, beside your post here I received PMs from members who told me they were sorry about what they said in this forum about me and the way it looked, as I told them, what ever was said was never taken on a personal level from me as I understand where they all were comming from. After re-reading my post I may have not be clear enough on something, so just to be clear, John told on himself, and what he said to me in his PM 16 +months ago is only a fraction (about 5%) compared to what my other source(s) told me, 95% of what I said about Flight on all forums did not come from John's PM. Since 16 month ago we had not contact with each other.@ Everybody, I could not tell everything I knew as I did not want to burned my bridges, and I did not care about taking crap from you all about my post(s) on Avsim or other forums as you did not know what I knew. There is more about Flight but I'll let Tom do the talking next week.
