FLIGHT Beta: If selected, will you bother? (poll)

No thank you... Lost all interest. I wanted the world simulator, not the flying game, so I'm out.

Sure, of course. I'm hoping that I do get picked. I'm really curious about what Microsoft is looking to do with Flight. The first thing I'd like to do is to fly up to where the observatories are on the island of Hawaii and see what they look like in Flight

The installer is sitting on my desktop and I am now wondering what the point of it is if down the road I cant fly like I do now :(

Put in some helicopters and be a blast
You actually think that you could put in some helicopters? :(

Of course. Why not?. Whilst it may not turn out to be what I wished there's no reason why it should be any worse than necessary.

So why wouldn't you want to at least try to answer some of the questions that bother you by installing it and reading between the lines? I was aggravated with the information that Flight was presenting us right off the bat but I got to thinking about the following and how would I feel if the following was true with Flight: • An engine with smoother non stuttering rendering • More immersive atmospherics/clouds/shading • Greater definition audio • The ability to have JUST the planes/regions I am interested in • The capability of FS Passengers and FS Cargo and the like taken to a whole new level all built in to use if I wish or not • Retain all the capability that FS had with navigation/switches/procedures and real life opsI think if I take that approach then it makes some more sense. I definitely am not happy about having to purchase maybe the same thing I have already in FSX or prior. The real question to me is would I be happy if I had a BETTER rendering base of an engine that has game play built in that I can use if I want to and the answer is absolutely. The downside to this is the 3rd party support will be an issue immediately but if I can have regions that I would want to fly at a reasonable cost and high quality as well as aircraft fully rendered at a reasonable price point then why not. The main goal being able to practice real world procedures and staying fresh in the area in which I live with my PPL as well as being able to fly aircraft I may never be checked out in just as it always has been with the FS franchise for me.I don't know what may or may not be lacking but if Flight takes FSX and adds to it I am not sure how that is so bad if that is true. However the business model of marketing away a game in hopes of expansion revenue is not too bright as it's not on the X360 platform BUT if it IS a refinement of FSX underneath the gold coins then they went about their presentation all wrong!
