Thank You! My thoughts exactly! The truth is I'm new to the flight simulator world and i bought my first real sim FSX last year and really enjoy it I was just hopeing to have better views of Yosemite, Grand Canyon etc. Then I heard about Flight yea a sim that will meet my expectations........NOT! So now I'm learning about add ons, acceleration etc for FSX. So it goes this way Microsoft has made about $40 off me now and well everyone else $$$$. I just follow this tread for laughs now because I'm now going headon into improving FSX Oh, by the way Yosemite Valley looks great now, now if I could only get those waterfalls to flow :)

I agree, I've been watching this fourm for awhile expecting something exciting in Flight. Now that I know it's not there it's time to move on, I unfollowed the Flight fourm and now looking at what I can do to make FSX into a better sim.

The problem is they REALLY thought they had a winner here. So now the question is what's plan B for Microsoft?

I'm not fan of flight that's for sure, but that is not what they are releasing! SORRY I spoke without seeing the whole video, yep that's Pilot Wings alright!

Now that we know a little about what to expect from MS Flight. What do you expect the future holds for FSX and how can we keep it fresh as Microsoft will surely abandon it.

I may get into trouble for saying this but if you have the fourm topics E-mailed to you then you would have a copy of what was said. To avoid any issues I will not copy and paste it here but it is floating around. Tom meintioned it was a "Wrong Release" so be it, we will know soon enough. Oh, and I'm not a troll :(

OK did I miss something? A minute ago I seen a MS NEWS RELEASE that really wasn't much to my liking and now it's gone? hmmmm :(

Are we going to discuss how MSFlight will become the next "Star Trek" trend and bring the universe together and bring peace and security to all who gets 300 hours in a Cessna C172 then fly over New York Times Square at midnight January 1 2054 at 100' alt while you drop confetti out your secret bay doors Ctrl+F8 and you must humm the tune Yankee Doodle Dandy and tap your feet but watch that you don't hit your rudder pedals! Then your Cessna becomes a spaceship that will take you to distant planets and learn the secrets of life. Then and only then peace will come to you and the earth! and to think this tread started as a FSX and Flight screenshot comparison

I downloaded some addons this morning and everything went well untill I downloaded a Catalina KAVX scenery. When I start the program I get an error message SCENERY.CFG file error (addon scenery\KAVX\SCENERY) in area .116 not found. What's more I now have the bottom 1/4 of my screen has gone black and everything looks stretched out. I deleted the addon thinking it might repair to no luck and now I get the file error so I'm not sure what I did. Oh, and this is my first try at addons

I haven't gotten any addon's yet I'm still deciding on my direction. What's a buttonmasher? I always thought a touchscreen vitural cockpit would be soooo cool! Final thought I make films for our campgrounds and I'm working on a vitural space film designed to be fun and educate children about our universe so I'm getting an even more powerful computer then my present 8GB Quad core, 1 terabyte, GeForce 9100 graphics. I'm looking at an i7 with an ultimate graphic package and multi screens needless to say what makes a great video editing computer also makes for an awesome SIM computer. Winter here in the Cascades can be long and boring so my computer is my recreation and no, I don't ski . Well now I'm really confussed! OK I used to fly as a youth 172's out of Burbank now Bob Hope airport in the 70's then moved to Oregon and no real flying for me due to health issues. So in 88' I got a flight sim, what a joke, gave up. Then last spring I bought FSX out of curiosity, I like it, my Jr. high is actually on the East runway lineup. But no waterfalls in Yosemite still so then I learn about MS Flight with dreams of seeing waterfalls and a Queen Mary that doesn't look like it's made from Lego blocks. Only now I'm learning about all these FSX upgrades and a whole entire FSX industry WOW . So what to do now, spend my money and make a kick a-- FSX only maybe to be outdated in a couple years or......get MS Flight and wait to see what happens for upgrades and by that matter what it may need. Decisions, decisions, decisions
