No body EVER looks at the facts.....Most of the crap sifted around through here is a bunch of lies.

Most of that crap is true in their minds though.

This is probably the best, most intelligent thread I have seen in avsim.NOW YOU GUYS KNOW HOW THE X PLANE CROWD FEELS!Each and every one of you have just repeated what the X Plane community have been saying for YEARS.Nice to see the shoe is finally on the other foot.Didn't mean to thread-jack.As you were, gentlemen.

Sometimes it's fun to just "speculate". Looks like there are a few people here who are so angered by the speculation that they feel the need call posters out as liars and proclaim their thoughts as nothing but crap.I don't believe that MS Flight will be as "open" as FS9 and FSX. I gave my reason in another thread so I won't rehash it here... and I think Flight will be a game/sim that will be based on a "micro-purchase" model. And we will have to pay for more "world" beyond Hawaii (Hawaii being free). I admit I have no knowledge, But lets look at "logic". All these months and not ONE screenshot of NY city, Las Vegas, grand canyon, Bermuda. Heck, any place outside of an island (granted, it's a lovely island)...yet, I guess I am "silly" to speculate even though it's going into be going into beta very soon. And my thoughs are crap. Oh well.Maybe it just goes to show how little we "simmers" are to MS. If they really read these forums, why not just throw "us" simmers a bone and give us one pic of a desert, a city, a big plane, a medium sized plane, etc...because, IMO, those will need to be purchase as add-ons from the MS store (ie not free with the game, therefore not mentioned) or they aren't made/ in the game yet...IMO.I enjoy the speculation on both sides. But I must admit, at least the most of posters who think Flight won't be as open as FSX seem to admit they are speculating and are giving their reasons for their opinion (thus making an interesting read for me) Unlike the one sentence hit-and-run slap downs. This forum (Flight) exists to talk about Flight. If you don't like the threads and they "anger" you, don't read them lol Life is stressful enough :-) :-)

Cause, X-plane has been a disappointment so far. Both X-plane and Flight are in varying degrees of beta and from M$ sneak peeks, Hawaii appears to be almost as good as a 3rd party addon and X-plane shows night lighting that could have been accomplished a version or two ago.Hoping M$ will put out a polished product - hopefully a complete product that doesn't require a home equity loan !Bottomline, it's a rush for money, yours and mine. And Microsoft, if it so choses, can put out a decent product. X-plane keeps blowing it almost every chance it gets. They are just TOO CHEAP !

...because we are bored?

Imagine FSX with updated graphics (being that FSX is now over 5 years old. Almost ancient in "computer" years), with an updated engine that puts more "work" onto the graphic card(s), with multi core support, with the ability to use more than 2-4 gbs of ram, with a deal with these incredible third party companies to include scenery and planes and ATC, and put that product out.MS doesn't need to re-invent the wheel, unless they do for other reasons....ie think Apple store...And charge a bit more for the product....iMO, that will be the best case scenerio in my dream world!

Well, seems to me that there have been very few facts to go on so far. The only real facts you have are what Microsoft has put out, and that has been vaque at best so far. Speculation is rampant because of that, which is no surprise to me at all. When you guys actually load it up and report the truth I will make my decision. In the meantime I'll keep eating the popcorn and watch the show.

What's illogical or only a guess to you may be very logical to someone else with a different set of experience and skills than yours. For example, over time it is easy to discern from their posts which posters have experience developping software, which posters have experience running a business, and which posters have worked in large corporations.Your experience and what you know is the lens of your mind's eye that shapes what you see.Cheers,- jahman.

A thread speculating why everyone speculates...Awesome... rolleyes.gif
