January 15, 201214 yr Author Ok.... To all who have been trying to help out with this. I have spent the last day building a new machine, including new hard drives, That said I of course did a completely clean install of FSX (including SP1 and SP2,)Using just the standard FSX 737, I could achieve exactly what I have been trying to do in setting up the Nav radios for an ILS approach to RW 26 at EGGW and seeing the Correct name ILJ . That all changed as soon as I installed Just Flights Traffic X. As soon as that was in the old problem reared up again. This would confirm to me that Traffic X is at fault here. Question now is has anybody come across this before and if so do you have a fix..? Thanks to all of you on this thread for your help with this.Andy Andy Mahaffey lntel i7 6700k Skylake (watercooled) 8GB RAM NVIDIA GTX 960 Graphics Win 10, FSX -SE (with CH Pedals and Saitek Proflight Yoke)
January 15, 201214 yr Oh. Could have imagined. Some traffic add-ons use a set of custom AF data files (also commonly known as AFCADs, by the name of program widely used to make them in FS2002/2004 days), presumably to ensure correct airline and type distribution between various terminals and gate areas. This is more of a problem in the US, where it is common, that an airline operates the terminal, and only that airline should be present. In Europe, depending on the airport, it is mix of this system, and a destination-based system.Unfortunately, more often than not, these files are somehow corrupt. In the case of Luton, it seems that TrafficX AF file does not include ILS 26 at all, for some reason. There are several ways around this issue, one of them is to just disable the AF scenery in the database, but I recommend using an add-on scenery, while placing TrafficX section in the scenery database all the way down just under Addon Scenery. I recommend Eiresim Luton by the way. --Peter Fabian
