Hi today I was ready to take the plunge and buy th as2012. but I stop for the reason that is giving me the price of $75.00 with the vat and $65.00 with out.can some one tell me wath is "VAT". that way I can make my dessicion on wish one to get.

You have no choice.If you live in the US, and not Europe, you will get the lower number.Vat is European talk for nice little tax.

Like William said, you only pay for it if you live in Europe. Seeing as you are USA, there is no VAT tax for you.However according to Wikipedia, you would do better with a list of countries without a VAT of some sort, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value_added_tax#Tax_rates

I live in Denmark in Europe, and I bought AS2012 (Upgrade for ASE users) last week and paid about 37 Euros. VAT = about 7 Euros :)
